I did the same with my friends, I remember my mom and her friend (it was her friend's idea) banned me from using pictochat because they thought it was an actual chat room that creepy adults could talk to me on. I guess that could happen if there was one nearby, but I only ever connected to my friends when they were around or my neighbor's daughter that was a bit younger than me

There were games I didn’t finish because my charger broke and I could never charge it again. If I ever get the chance, I’ll absolutely repair it, buy a new charger and keep it for life. ❤

It’s very nostalgic to me too. I was born in 2004 and I have a sister who is 8 years older than me. She got her nintendo DS in 2006 or 2007 and she let me use it. It was so exciting to me that I still remember everything very clearly. Actually I believe it’s my earliest memory when I was washing a dog in nintendogs.

I’m so happy I got to live through this era. My sister and I didn’t have phones so we got the Wii and a DS. I had a VERY NICE blue colored one and I think my sister had this exact pink but it was some sort of pink. It’s crazy that Mobile Gaming is what I use today with my iPhone. Playing games like Genshin and stuff like that. I feel like the best part about using a DS is the fact that it’s genuine and creative. You had party chats that you can use to scribble to one another or type. It had no ads and was cheaper than a Smartphone. Totally miss it all.
