@@thecanmanification There's no reason the solder would get on their hands. If they make a bad move and get the _iron_ on their hands, however, they're gonna be cooking that glove into their skin rather than just getting a nasty blister.

Haha yes! I don't do it to prevent burns, but to lower my exposure to chemicals, as I'm often soldering and handling PCB's for multiple hours a day.

there's 4 wires inside a normal usb 2.0 device each of those wires are insulated already.

Good thing you aren't a rocket surgeon then. The wires have their own insulation already. The black cord just kept it all together and protected from damage, as this will as well. The black housing is not what's providing the insulation.

No, the electricity flowing through the controller cable isn't enough to even feel.

Yeah, it is important! Back in the days before rubber, they used a braided material to insulate wires. You can still find it on some very vintage electronics. Rubber is safer where high voltage and current are involved. But it's a nice aesthetic mod since that's not a concern with controller cables, as there's only a very small amount of electricity that would ever go through them.

I’m just gonna say this and no joke since I don’t really have a full knowledge of it… I got the controller for free by the dumpster and two games on top of the dumpster and it was cold and snowy last year and the games looked like it was taken cared of and especially the controller lol 😂 Also I have no idea who left it out like that but I was always interested about trying guitar Hero years ago which is funny at my part.

@@RetrostalgiaOfficial to be honest I’m not sure if it works or not since I don’t own a PS2 to test the controller out but it seems fine judging by it’s condition. Now for the games like I said it looks like it’s been taking good care of surprisingly.

ugh i still have my old one from childhood but the b button is busted so i cant play on it TT _ TT the battery life is so good for the ds tho vs the 3ds
