Follow me as I start back up the NAVY VLOGS while I travel back to USNA after a long summer of quarantine. In this video, I show you guys what it looks like on coming back to the Academy after a long break of quarantine.
For everyone that's new to the channel, WELCOME! My name is JC and I'm currently a Robotics and Control Engineering major at the US Naval Academy. I play on the Division 1 Water Polo Team and love to make videos about my college experience!

Glad to see you're back at the academy. After the first year, are roommates assigned or picked? Are new dorm rooms assigned each year because accommodations improve with seniority, to help students develop more friendships across the brigade, or for some other reason?

Picked! As a plebe, you are assigned but after plebe year, you get the chance to put in your preferences!

I got a question hopefully someone's got an answer, does everyone wear the same uniforms, or do the marine option students have diff uniforms?

In the USNA you do not pick where you would like to serve until half way through your last year. If you chose to go into marines you do not wear a marine uniform until, you are at boot camp. You are a naval officer until that moment so you will wear the same uniform as everyone else for your 4 years. Fun fact though near the end of your final year if you choose seals you have your eyebrows shaved off. Hope this helps!

Good rule to follow, keep (at least) one uniform with you at all times. I went through, I don't how many PCS (permanent change of stations) with shipments all over the place (USAF retired). Good Luck with your career.

Yeah, I'm 5'7". You definitely want to make up for your size in another strength whether it's an amazing shot or speed and agility in the pool.
