@@sherryjohnson3804 Really, even so, if your body is addicted, and your body is you, then you are addicted. His problem was far more than that, because of what this substance does some have never got off it, while suffering being on it. Anyway thank you for your shared concern and sentiments. God bless.

@Intelligently Stoopid far above average in intelligence he is.. so thats the very least you should say about him.. in some cartoons you see the huge dude with huge muscles being bossed around by a very small little dog... cause the dog had 1 IQ point more.. but then again maybe the huge dude really was the smart one cause he let himself be bossed around to be a protector.. The really really challenge in life is to differentiate between that huge dude that secretly is smarter, and the huge dude that is not smarter. Sometimes the huge dude who is not smarter does not let anyone boss him around..

@abcd3625 you definitely have an argument for hypocrisy when you put it that way. On the other hand, do his "hypocritical" actions not support what he suggests in his book? As in - if you fail to follow any of the 12 points, this (his failings with the drug use) is a possible consequence. Peterson recognizes the frailty in people and has never (that I've seen or read) even hinted that he was any better in this. I am not going to defend his drug use nor do I know anymore specifics of what happened other than what he himself has posted. What I see is just another human story struggling with what life presents them. I'm curious to see how he addresses his situation in the future. However, this "hypocrisy" as you called it does not erase what Peterson has said and written, it simply shows that he too is susceptible to weakness as are we all. His 12 points can be as useful to himself as anyone else.

I come back to watch this video again from time to time, to remind myself to NEVER take anything or anyone for granted. It is hard to express properly how frightened I had been for you and for myself at the prospect of losing you since finding out about your illness. Also to express my gratitude to everyone including yourself; who grabbed you by the scruff of the neck so-to-speak and refused to let you go. My gratitude is selfish, both for myself and as a representative of the millions so far; and one day billions of people that you have helped by your words, wisdom, fortitude, and courage. The lord bless you and keep you all. The lord make his face shine upon you. The lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. On behalf of eventually billions: Thank you and your whole family my dear dear Jordan.

@Maureen O'Brien well, you are absolutely right to be angry about your own position. Still pretty right to be angry that you received poor medical care, outlining a larger issue... but if you didn't look at the potentials yourself then you need to take some part of that blame. There's a massive list of people these drugs hurt, which is almost insignificant to the list of people that died or killed because they didn't have it. No it isn't healthy. No, it's not a magic pill to fix your problems. But the claim that they are all pure evil and big pharma is to blame is ridiculous.

I look forward to your full recovery and more of your lectures, I don’t think I’ve heard any person express several of my ideals so perfectly before, which has really brought me to your content like the millions others. Although I have found many of your beliefs almost nihilistic, a significant portion of your social values have not only helped me express my emotions towards certain issues vividly but has even informed me further on so many different levels.
