Return to South Mountain! Shuttle Ride Down National and Geronimo// Phoenix, AZ Mountain Biking

It's been 2 years since I've last rode South Mountain and it feels great to be back! After taking a month off the bike to heal a broken finger and celebrate the holidays, I couldn't wait to get my wheels back in the Arizona dirt and I was long overdue for an intense ride
My friends coordinated a shuttle and I couldn't pass it up so I revisited one of the most iconic trails in the Phoenix area. Not only did National trail not disappoint, but it was even better than I remembered.
As if an epic ride down National wasn't enough, I decided to take on Geronimo Trail for the first time. This trail has been on my radar for years and I was more than stoked to finally see what all of the hype was about. The trail was gnarlier and way more technical than I'd anticipated and I don't think video does this trail justice. with amazing views and a physically demanding descent, this trail is easily one of my favorite mountain biking trails on the mountain.

What is the trailhead’s name that you get dropped off to start the down hill? Thanks

It’s been awhile but if my memory serves me I think it’s called Buena Vista Lookout. But I looked it up and it says the highest accessible peak at SM is Dobbins lookout. I would recommend searching directions to Dobbins lookout and keeping an eye out for Buena vista lookout. Hope this helps
