Lov the video but I've noticed one thing that mostly applys ,when you watch someone do it ,looks easy ,the boss is quite placid ,but, when you try it the boss is going ape shit and it's like holy shit , dead. 😂

If you can keep your distance it gives a little more time to think, but yeah, I can kill him every time now very quickly. Practise just makes it easy :D

I know exactly what you mean. Sank a full day into Returnal today and I still haven't gotten passed the first boss. In my opinion, the fact that HP is so hard to come by in this game is criminal 😂

This game is entirely too hard. Lol Git to the boss with an astronaut only to have 2 of the flying bats follow me in. I was dead in a matter of seconds lol

Smoothest fight of the first boss which I've seen, amazing job with the pistol, it took me 28 cycles, almost 200% health and the best weapon to beat him...

The first two phases I found quite easy. It’s that third phase that really trips me up for some strange reason. That melee attack Phrike does hits for *so* much damage, I don’t even think Flex Tape can fix it.

On my 2nd try, I got him to about 5hp on last phase, and I died. So gutted. I think I’ll beat him but I need good luck on items, artefacts etc to help me. On last try, I had huge health, loads of Artefacts and 1 of them added speed and protection, when you do that overload quick reload. I was sure I had him. Everything was in my favour and dying when he had 5hp was crap. Especially as sometimes, I’ll start a run and it goes bad from the bloody start. 😭

@@AshenOneGaming oh, I have a question. On 1St level, I keep coming across a room with a lock and if you shoot the eye or whatever, door opens. I can’t remember if I even tried it. On walking up to door, it says something like “there is unknown number of enemy behind this door and you can only leave, after clearing” Do you get some great items or something I’d you clear the room? And should I concentrate on beating first boss, before I go into this room?

@@AshenOneGaming Having now completed the game I've gone back and can now finish the boss with no upgrades and using the pistol. Funny bkwninstruggled so much. Once you work out the mechanics of the game and get used to it things become easier. Was stressful at the time though.. great game.

Rule #1 do not look at its health bar, just focus on the goddamn fight

This. This is rule #1 for every game with Soulslike bosses. The boss HP doesn't matter, YOURS does. Focus on keeping it up.

Yep and having a higher weapon from proficiency level, having more health and artefacts equipped. Makes the boss so easy and quick!

I had only attempted phrike twice before watching this video - my first run I made it to the third phase but then died and same with the second attempt. After I watched this video for the first time - my next run (the third) I beat him first try with zero issues. He’s actually super easy lol but just doesn’t seem like it when you’re new to the game.

Another tip: you can shoot at the eyes of those big eye monsters with the lights and they will close them briefly, allowing you to easily pass by. I should make a tips video as well. This is fun.
