That was an awesome start to that run!! I noticed that shredder was taking down the shields in the later phases!! I didn't even know that could happen lol. I gotta try that out. I end up dying trying to melee the shields off enemies in the later phases

You need the Disrupting Overload artifact if you want to destroy enemy shields by shooting from afar. If you don't have the artifact, you have to explore the biomes, and find its datacube.

@@ravenous2001 Hey Ravenous, thanks for the reply 😁 so I went through all my artifacts and it doesn't say I need any more, like all the spaces are full in th databank. I don't see disrupting overload? I see one that says " shield disrupter" that says it gives a small chance of breaking hostiles shields with a normal weapon. Is that the one your talking about?

@@megjohn2011 dude you need to read this, since I've made a mistake. After re-reading your comment, it turns out you have an artifact called Shield Disruptor. Shield Disruptor is NOT AVAILABLE in the Tower, only in biomes, plus it makes your shots destroy shields with a CHANCE, not as a buff after successfully overloading. Disrupting Overload artifact is a "suit artifact" (diamond icon when you look at your "equipment section"). Suit artifacts look like these "keys" or "totems", and they can be any artifact such as Disrupting Overload, Adrenaline Coolant, Recharging Overload, just to name a few. I would advise you to take a second looking at the artifact's name before picking it up just to be safe.

What you watched is the result of mostly playing Tower mode on Returnal. I was just like you back when it first came out. As days, weeks, and months pass by I improved massively and developed my own strats along the way to the point that you just witnessed. You'll get to my skill level eventually, just keep practicing and playing on Tower. Here's a tip to massively improve your score: kill enemies via mid air melee. Jump then melee, can one shot turrets and flying enemies, but against larger enemies, weaken them until their health is so low and mid air melee for the finishing blow.

What importance does not getting hit play is all this?

Not getting hit at all will keep up your adrenaline level 5, thus gaining more points for every kill (more so with mid air melee), and making overload timing easy. Plus not getting hit and take damage will make increasing your max integrity (health) a lot easier if you increase it via resin. Also, not getting hit is a must have skill if you don't want to get one shotted in higher Phases.

@ravenous-ee6dg aww makes sense .I've been trying to get 2 mil by the end of phase 1 room 20 .so far I've e gotten 1, 984,000 .I'm getting there , any tips on not getting hit I seem to get his constantly in the higher phases thus not getting too far I've only managed to get to phase 11 .
