Returning to activity after a vasectomy

Ill admit im worried about returning to work tomorrow. I just took the weekend to recover, dont wanna take more time off because i just took 4 weeks parental leave.

question doc but can one resume lets say gardening in 4-5 days? i work in the landscape field so was curious? does one wear a protective jock strap or something to minimize movement, etc? thanks

Hi. I had my vasectomy exactly 7 days ago. The main thing is the “jostling” around and quick movement that hurt. I would say gardening can be done after 2-3 days.

I'm having my vasectomy on Saturday 3rd, and have a 10k running event two weeks later on 17th, I'm hoping this will be ok still, what is your advice? Thanks

@@HumbleFamilyTravels vasectomy itself went perfectly, no issues, but Drs orders to not run for at least 3-4 weeks after so had to cancel the run, just to be sure. It ended up being 3 weeks after, and was fine, nothing burst 😂

4 weeks since my vasectomy. now the pain (in the right one) slowly fades away.

Hi there! So you had some pain or discomfort for a month after your vasectomy? I am 2 weeks post vasectomy and the discomfort is there. Enough discomfort that I want to avoid sex. I am able to walk on the treadmill without any discomfort. But just trying to see if this discomfort at 2 weeks is typical…sounds like u had it?

@@h34p I have not been told that nor have I read that. My clinic told me that the pain / discomfort would be gone after a week.

It's been about 2 1/2 weeks after mine and I'm still having some slight pain - it's not bad, a level 1 or 2, and it comes and goes. Did you experience this? I know of people who took 6 weeks or more to completely recover.

My vasectomy lowered my testosterone and increased my estrogen, causing depression, ED and bone density loss

You should get that looked at. There might be another underlying issue there. My Vasectomy didn't lower any of my testosterone or bone density. I actually haven't talked to anyone who's had this problem.

on my eighth day post surgery and i just saw some SPOTTING (for lack of a better word) in my boxers.... the cut looks good tho, no bleeding, pretty much looks completely healed up... just kinda shocked me...

@@shark_plissken did you do the scalpel or incision method. I hear the incision one doesn’t even need stitches and is more affective. Also is it better to have them cauterized or tied off after they cut the tubes?

Getting a vasectomy was the worst decision of my life. I lost my wife and my man hood. I did it a little over 16 years ago at age 27 and I noticed a big difference in the way ejaculation felt and my overall energy immediately afterwards. I lost all my testosterone and it feels weird and dulled in a uncomfortable way when I ejaculate. I can't explain the feeling. You would have to feel it yourself. The only time I feel normal is when I'm taking testosterone. Which I had to start doing at age 29 because my levels were so low. The wrong feeling I get with ejaculation has never went away and I'm now 43 years old. This happens to other men too. Look it up before you talk trash. Please, please look it up before getting one!
