Your videos helped me when I made the jump to FSE from appliance/HVAC repair. Now I'm with my second company being an FSE with Bio-Medical and I love it. Appreciate the content!!!

I interviewed with that same company in the Chicago market, and they seemed like a great company to work for! Working on that surgical robot seemed fascinating, but the role was unfortunately 2nd shift. The only FSE company I've interviewed with that provided a vehicle, however!

Hi Ricky, That is something to also consider. When you can get in and accomplish the needed maintenance or repairs. I'm looking forward to sharing more details on the job and hope you stick around to see =D

@@untitledlabel Very helpful channel! I've been an FSE in wireless telecom for my entire career, but as of this year trying to pivot into the Biotech industry. I watched all of your FSE-related videos to get any insight I can on this industry. I'll be watching all your future videos to continue to try to learn. My only suggestion would be to go a bit more in depth on the actual troubleshooting and service call aspects of the job so perhaps someone that is considering this field get a better gauge of the technical requirements, etc.

@@rickviramontes2317 Thanks for the feedback Rick. I can definitely do that! The reason why I didn't do it previously was because I didn't want to reveal too much info regarding the equipment I worked on for proprietary reasons (Don't want to get sued for giving out too much info regarding equipment) but at the same time I can definitely elaborate.
@rickviramontes23176 ай бұрын
@@untitledlabel Yup, I figured there was propriety SW/HW that can't be shared with the public. But maybe speaking about what the reported issue was and yourv troubleshooting method of pinpointing the root cause, etc.. 🤔 I know you did that in a previous video and I thought that was great! I think those 'day in the life' type of videos would really help future FSE's in deciding of this is a field they would like to pursue.

Hey. I'm an FSE over in Europe working in a not too dissimilar field (analytical xray instruments for me). Just wanted to wish you best of luck in the new job. Sounds like a great move; you can carry on with your business whilst generating some extra needed steady cash flow through a line of work you clearly also enjoy. Plus, look forward to extra content in this channel!

Jake G! Really appreciate the comment and support really. Where in Europe if you don’t mind me asking ? I’m looking forward to revitalizing the channel.

Just got my first job as an FSE. Any tips for maximizing travel rewards or tips on being efficient?
@untitledlabel6 ай бұрын
my man ! congrats ! I would say ask if you're able to use your own personal credit card. If you are (MAKE SURE TO STAY ON TOP OF EXPENSES TO NOT HURT YOUR CREDIT SCORE), get as many points as possible from booking travel (flights, rentals, and hotels). I used my personal AMEX Plat for my last job and still have +250k hotel points alone
@gabngu4 ай бұрын
I'd say get the best credits cards. I currently have the chase preferred reserve and the Amex gold card. They'll give you the best return

last week i had quit my job as FSE in Scientific instrumentation to move to more industrial role as a Back office role, less travel.... i was traveling last year most of the weeks... I will miss to be always on the field, but sometimes is to much travel.
