Today we are using a machine that will help us get sweet corn one month earlier than normal, but how does it work?
If you need some new comfortable footwear check out the link and use the code (TheVeggieBoys) to get 15% off!
rockroosterfootwear.com/?ref=...
We farm over 400 acres here in north east Pennsylvania, but 80 of those acres are strictly vegetables. Come take a look and see how our family works together to bring in the harvest!

That would be adorable! It would also give viewers moments to think about what they appreciate most from their families as well!!! I miss watching my great grandma peel apples with a knife in one long skin, I remember thinking that was so cool when i was a kid. Great grandma, the knife master :)

Have been growing 6 acres of sweetcorn every year for 17 years now in New Zealand. I plant half an acre every week, but I wish I could get a planter like yours that puts down plastic. Would be able to sell sweetcorn at Christmas. That would be exciting!!! Enjoying your posts

We planted with clear plastic 40 years ago. We set the planter to plant hills, then layed the cover, as another step. We then cut holes with razor knives a few weeks later. Then when the corn was knee high we would pull the plastic up over it. Gained us many weeks.

I swear the best way to eat it other than raw, is to soak it a few hours husk on then grill it at least an hour, burning the dry bits as they appear, shuck and enjoy straight up like me or with butter salt an pepper
