Beyond that, I do not have a personal relationship with either of them, I doubt that you do either, so I wouldn't know what their relationship is. In Rex's last couple of years with the Jets, the offense was ranked 29th & 30th in the league & his defense (which is supposed to be his strength) was ranked 19th and 26th. If Rex Rayn was half as good at coaching football as he was at bullshitting the Jets would have more than one trophy in the case right now. And I respect the ability to bullshit--that's a totally useful skill which can be practiced, perfected, and used to great personal and financial advantage. But being a top-flight bullshitter does not make one a good football coach any more than being a good football coach qualifies someone to install plumbing. All are good things to be able to do, but the skill sets are not interchangeable.
