26:32 This is another moment that stuck in my head because of the German dub. 😅 The way Rose says "Das mach ich aber nicht!" 😭💔 BREAKS my heart every time. And I could adapt this phrase for so many real life situations. Yes, I'm about finished with binging your reactions now. 🤭 Took me a day or so, but now I'm gonna have to follow week by week. This episode really means a lot to me. Well, this finale in general.... Because these were the last two episodes I watched with my mom before she died. I know, we had seen it once before, but she didn't remember it anymore. So I chose them for a rewatch on a saturday. We used to watch WHO together a lot. Her favorite episode was Rings Of Akhaten. She was kind of the center of my universe. Helped me out a lot, but also kinda overprotective. But we had basically the same taste and opinion on everything. Anyway, it was hard for me. Just one day, she didn't wake up anymore. Only at age 63 .... Dec, 19th 2019.... I remember the message, I got at work. I should not go home, I should go directly to my parents' house. My dad would need help now.... I couldn't believe it, when I got there. Police was there and all.... And my relationship with my ex gf was already breaking up during that time, of course I lost my job quickly after that as well... I basically have a blackout for what happened after that. Can't really remember what I did for at least a year or so.... At least she got spared from Covid.... 😅 But yeah, that's why I love going on KZbin and share my feelings about some of my favorite episodes. Or what I experienced. Because no one else in my circle likes or even watches Doctor Who..... I've been living alone now ever since then. In the apartment, my mom still helped me to find..... (Sorry to share something this sad with you folks! 😅 It's been a while ago now, I just wanted to notice that I'm REALLY fine again! And happy even. Currently looking to find a new job, taking therapy, workshops and exercises, I joined the local choir last September or so, I'm really doing a lot again. Can only get better from here! 👍)

So sorry for your loss, I bet she was an amazing woman. I don’t know what I’d do if my mom suddenly died in her sleep. I’d be so lost without her. I share a similar bond with her. When I hit my 20s we didn’t have family movie nights as much, and we all just did our own thing, but my mom always sat on the couch playing some iPad game when she got home from work and because I always watched things on the tv in the same room she started getting invested in the things I would watch. Now we watch something together almost every night. She doesn’t always like the things I watch but she still does it because it’s one of the only things that we can bond over.

@@dylancole1910 Great to hear. I can just say, judging from my experience: Just prepare yourself. Enjoy it while it lasts. And show her how much you love her. It really hit me like a train back in the day, because I did not expect anyone with no serious health issue to just suddenly die like that at age 63....

This is the first time that two enemies have been pitted against each other; I love the "rap battle" between them. The first series changed the Doctor but kept the companion to give some continuity. This series - well, it didn't exactly change the companion, but it left space for a new companion. It was the best way write Rose out; not dead, but forever sealed off in another dimension. Was good to see Mickey again; I noticed how he'd grown and got over Rose; her "good to see you" gets on offhand "yeah, you too". The Doctor doesn't even get time to mourn before another adventure is thrust upon him.

Well since this is a reupload I guess I can say my thoughts on series 2. It's Okay. The reason I think series 1 is better, and arguably not only one of the best NuWho but also all of Doctor Who seasons ever, is simply that I find series 1 more consistent, and it has some of my favorite stories such as the first Dalek story of NuWho, The Empty Child/Doctor Dances, and the series finale. That and it has the monumental task of bringing Doctor Who back. Series 2 definitely has some good stories, the Cybermen 2 parter, The Ood 2 parter, etc. But I just feel like it has some disappointing aspects, and, dare I say it, I find the 10th Doctor... Bland here, I like him in later seasons, but here I find him bland. And while I don't hate Rose, she's an effective enough companion and I actually like her in series 1, I find her... Not that good here, and while I don't care if The Doctor is romantic or not, I just don't buy their relationship. Fortunately I don't think it's bad, just not that good compared to some other seasons. Who knows, maybe I'll come to series 2, but I don't think this was the strongest start for Tennant's Doctor.

Thank you for your thoughts. :) I can understand what you mean, but for me the second series is the better one. Maybe because I have seen the episodes for the first time. I don´t know if my opinion will change after a rewatch in a few years though. :)
