Revamp Your Ride: DIY Vinyl Wrap Transformation - Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP

After I had fitted the pillion passenger kit, the matt black rear fairings looked odd, so I thought how hard can vinyl wrapping be?
I purchased all the kit from Amazon (Links Below) and just thought I'd have a go myself. No lie, it was hard to do.. and I think initially I was doing it wrong and not heating/stretching it enough.. or allowing it to cool too much before stretching... I wasted a lot of material!
The end result.. nice from far.. but far from nice - but I can live with it!

Agree it is.. but I’m running the pillion grab handle setup which uses plain matt black rear fairings which look off against the red/white SP fairings.. so a wrap was an easier cheaper alternative

If the pillion firing panels were in the same SP livery then we’d be ok.. this was a cheaper alternative.. but yeah - can be better

I have something similar in carbon for the forehead panel and the small side panels in the front and back, I never got around to change the backlight panel, maybe next year. I have the rve version with the black and silver frame. Love the gold forks on the sp. I decided to get the carbon panels on the rve because I thought the dotted side panels looked kinda cheesy.

I’m not quite there yet to do a carbon version yet just because of the costs. I still have my Gold wheels - so might fit them up and see what it looks like against the matt black 🧐

Having done something similar on my xDiavel I can vouch for how finicky this can be. Nicely done but as the owner of a 21 SP I've always envied the color way of the newer SP that you just covered! Lol

The newer livery SP colours are good.. my OCD just cudnt’t deal with those matt black pillion fairings 😭

I keep looking at vulture bike decal kits, lots of cool options. Thinking the RVE look is good. But right now I'm focusing on carbon fiber.
