Amalgam 2023 Update | Star Trek Fleet Command improves refinery & research for Amalgam

The Amalgam is @everyone s favorite raid boat, but it's always been a bit of an annoyance when it came to it's refinery. It just didn't pay out enough to really source things like Honorguard Worf or a lot of the exocomps. Well 2023 has brought some nice updates and one of them is to our beloved Pakled raider. let's discuss!

the G3 epic skins still handy i am OPS45 now and since the Voyager crew came out the Enterprise is my back to be my best NPC killer full synergy Janeway on the bridge + Harry Kim below deck and this littel thing kills EVERYTHING and it is cheap as hell to repair ... really the ONLY downside is the low Warp Range but i am able to farm 4 and 5 star ship parts with Lv48 and 50+ Freebooters - alot of them - no problem with the enterprise 🙂

Two things of value to add: 1. B'Etor she should almost always be your amalgam because she boosts the ship ability allowing for even more loot over max cargo, unless your raid target is getting low on rss then switch to max cargo crew will end up doing better, but that's only her officer ability.... 2. Cloak!!!! Hidden gem here, AND why B'Etor as captain becomes important. The amalgam cloaks for 35 tetryons even at max, which is cheap. B'Etor's captain ability boosts the cloak duration by 20% (sela/lursa can boost to 40% since they each give 10% via synergy tomalak is 5%, but if you're cloaking to raid go cargo crew). Then the only cloak research that applies is Galaxy Tree>Stealth Technology which is the first cloaking research available to you and Stealth of Kor which is available in your 40's. If there's G5 research I'm not there yet. Anyways, with stealth tech maxed, stealth of kor 7/10, and B'Etor captain no synergy the ship cloaks for 27 minutes 31 seconds and 30 minutes 43 seconds with full synergy. Considering the warp range available early on, the 35 tetryon cost, and the lengthy duration I believe that makes this the best scout ship in the game for deep space or shrouded systems.

You give it to the attacker as much as they can hold. The rest returns to scopely.

9900% "plunder isn't working. I keep seeing 1,000,000 plunder per kill. Iv'e used about 3 "plunders in excomp and i get about 15,000 per kill.

They need to upgrade the refinery for ship skins, projectiles, etc. Higher ops that section is pretty useless.

I literally finally got the Constellation jelly skin on Sunday. I swear Scopely wait for me to finish grinding something and then immediately make an improvement. Argh!

Hey Rev, off topic, what's the deal with the subspace relay building? I'm OPS 27. Can't build the building. Decided to buy the pack in the store for the subspace relay thinking I was going to be able to unlock it and level it a few levels with the materials i got from the pack but this wasnt the case. I just gave away a hundred bucks it seems.

Very useful. I literally haven't used the Amalgam since a few weeks after I got it. I found the economy, amount of effort required and rewards very poor so just dumped it. I will have another look. My Voyager is now under construction. I should be more excited but I've only recently got the Titan and the Defiant and am still acclimatising to how they fit into my daily routine. Where I'll find the time for my Voyager grind is beyond me.

OK this have been bothering me for a while, certain things we can pull the 1 chest would cost x amount and the 2 chest would normally be 2x the amount but certain things the 2 chest would be 3x-5x the amount just what is up with that?!? Some of those things we have to grind for the currency to buy another currency in order to be able to pull those chest and they fleece us on them chest pulls?!?

I was able to get 120m plunder loot the other day. using a max amalgam and a t5. Best run I ever did. Key is to bring all your ship and have them constantly killing non survey
