I love this! How special they take their Art so serious. I love that it is a family thing and they don't bow to technology and new ideas but consider their work as a family tradition

I have spent a small fortune on very expensive brushes, most of which are very nice. Then hubby Biggus bought me Perla as part of my Christmas present and oh my gosh, I rarely use anything else since. I started painting when I had several joints from my right hand removed, other bones fused and a great deal of metalwork stuffed in there. It was my occupational therapy. Those big Perla brushes for even the smallest of details are fantastic for my disabled hand. I also like my versatils but not quite as much. And Mr Joseph is a delight. Thanks again for another brilliant interview.

I really enjoyed watching this! About a year ago I bought an escoda reserva and an escoda versatil. I bought size 8 round travel brushes. I wanted to see which I would prefer and if I would like them. I tried versatil first and thought it was a very nice brush. Then I tried the reserva and oh my! It was the most amazing brush I’ve ever tried. I love it!! I am worried about being able to get them in the future now after this interview though. I only have two as they are quite expensive but I think I’d better buy a few more in case they are discontinued. The escoda reserva really is something very special!

I don’t really have an answer for you other than my ancestors who were from the Indian tribe, black feet… men and women together would hunt buffalo, and everything was used from the buffalo, the meat, the hyde to even the ribs bones, but we live in a different time now don’t we?
