@@t.fernbach602 I think people is still conservative and I actually think Nintendo have to price their switch successor low if they meant that to replace the switch. This I think lead to decreased power and the only way to meet the desired target of 4K DLSS with ray tracing is to either delay the system way back to 2027/2028 or giving a late switch pro. The switch successor also have to come with new hook to sell to casuals and 90% of the people who desires a switch successor just do not want these limitations and extra stuff.

In the words of a well written line, “if you’re nothing without the suit, you don’t deserve it.” Shadow of the colossus was a great game stuck on the ps2, until ps3 and the remake made it something stellar. Same with Demon’s Souls, same with Gravity Rush. Nintendo makes great games, and I’m a firm believer that it’s the tech restrictions that breed great ideas from limitations. I’m playing Xenoblade DE, and that game is still great. Xenoblade X is something else. Made for the WiiU, that game still outclasses games today, and it’s systems are very primitive and explainable. And if the rumors of an X remake are true, everybody is in for a treat.

I could see Nintendo reveal the switch 2 in June like the rumors say. I don't know if Nintendo will reveal the switch 2 before their shareholders meeting on May 7th.

I think that Nintendo isn't gonna release switch 2 until next year around Christmas holiday time but I truly believe that Nintendo has some new games to be announced soon one of them being Metroid prime 4 that's why Nintendo ain't tripping right now they have some great games coming out this year that nobody knows about

Nintendo can’t wait till December, since new PlayStation Pro comes out and it would totally steal the spotlight. It had better be soonish or wait another year- but with no games announced for old Switch I don’t think Nintendo has many options.

This has already been talked about in a shareholder meeting that everyone seems to have forgotten. Nintendo Switch is fast approaching the record for most sold consoles of all time which is currently held by playstation2. Nintendo need only to sell 15million more units and were scheduled to sell 19million this year. If Nintendo announced the Switch2, they would affect their sales for the Switch this year, people would hold out for Switch2 over buying an old console in this generation and Nintendo would miss out on claiming the world record for most popular console of all time. Considering no other current console has even come close to this title, Nintendo want to claim this title and then use it for the Switch2 marketing. That is why the Switch2 is not being announced this year, Nintendo want that top spot. Then they will launch Switch2, some underpowered pile of shit with a crappy screen, no online messaging tools or lobby inviting ui, just some mediocre slight upgrade that still wont be able to play game in 60fps.

That’s a good point; I hadn’t really thought about that. There’s also another reason why they haven’t yet announced the switch 2. Japan’s economy is in a delicate place right now since the yen is forecasted to increase in value toward the end of the year. Nintendo is very likely trying to time its announcement to maximize profits. I’m sure they have even more reasons on top of these two.

Although i appreciate what the switch has done and what Nintendo has proven (you dont need top gear equipment to play quality games), they need to leave the typical Nintendo gimmicks alone and focus on a modern, clean, and vastly improved system. Im putting money aside for the system, accesories, and games. By the time the system drops, if it isnt up to snuff ill put that money elsewhere.
