Psychiatrist Dr Karl O'Sullivan covers a key question he has received in his past practice "should I tell people about my depression?" and the possible reasons to do so depending on the particular situation. He describes how a person could go about talking with a partner, family and friends as well as in the workplace. He describes the importance of being prepared to deal with people who may minimize or not understand depression and how to do that. He explains how depression may impact relationships and how to go about supporting others who may be experiencing clinical depression.
The series does not claim to cover all aspects of depression, however the goal is to provide the viewer with an improved understanding of this important illness.

A person with severe major depression is not able to do all that. One has to be feeling much better to have a talk like that.

I would say someone with mild depression will be able to share how they feel with a friend or trusted family.

Thanks for your comment Dennis. Our next series, which is expected to be out in February, is on anxiety disorders and we will be discussing social anxiety as part of it. After that, we expect to do a more detailed one on social anxiety.

Having Faith and keeping a close relationship with GOD...in Prayer and Devotion, particularly with fellow believers would be a promising path to recovery (deliverance). 😇

@jrgenstorm6536 FAITH is NOT delusion nor imagination, neither hallucinations but an intimate relationship with the True and Living GOD, Who's also the Great Creator and Whom we can call "ABBA Father" 💟 Of course He will not force you to come to Him if you choose not to believe in His existence or deny His Mercy and Grace. 😏
