Psychiatrist Dr Karl O'Sullivan talks about the treatments that are available to treat clinical depression, including therapies, anti-depressants and other medications. He encourages taking an informed and holistic approach to your illness and treatment including lifestyle and other factors. He takes about use of medications along with the sometimes difficult first steps of getting help. He also covers steps to take to avoid a relapse.

About Dr Karl O'Sullivan
Dr Karl O’Sullivan is a retired psychiatrist with decades of experience working in hospital and community settings in the United States, Canada and Ireland. He has worked with a wide range of mental health issues and with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
He has held academic appointments at McMaster University, the University of Dublin (Trinity College), and the University of Saskatchewan. The results of his research have been published in American, Canadian and British scientific journals.
A fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the Royal College of Psychiatrists, United Kingdom, he is also a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

I live constantly depressed,.. medications and therapy are very important to live a life
