@@giannakelis thank you for letting me know I just get very confused. My cousin had a class at uni and they were doing ancestry & genetic genealogy. She said a student was very angry when he found out he had a plantation slave owner as his ancestor and 42% European in his dna his African ancestors were also enslaved by Native Americans so that made him really mad as he thought he was part Native American. She said what made him madder was none of the white kids in their class except for one had plantation/ slave owners in their family tree. She said he used to call white ppl colonisers all the time but now he doesn’t. I was very confused and didn’t understand. Ppl can’t help their ancestors it’s not their fault. I found in my ancestry I had relatives who were children sent to Australia as convicts for stealing food, most of them died from hard labour, one died in his 30s from being a homeless alcoholic apparently he wanted to go home after he finished his sentence but could never afford to go back. Very interesting.

What you stated about Spain is called the Black Legend of Spain. This is anti-Spanish and anti-Catholic propaganda that the English and later the Americans created and spread around to make Spain look bad. This started 500 years ago. The English and Americans used this to also divide the Spanish speaking countries in the Americas from Spain. It is also a type of divide and conquer action. This Black Legend started because Spain was the first European power to acquire a worldwide empire where the sun never set. It was created in part out of jealousy.

@@giannakelis Wepaa! So, I am Black American and my fiance is Puerto Rican. Her genetic communities are in Northwestern Puerto Rico. A year after she took her test, I took one and found some shocking results. I took it with MH. I had three genetic groups: 1) South Carolina Black Americans; 3) Southern and Northeastern Black Americans (The southern regions of Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana. Also, NY, NJ, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, Northern FL, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Eastern Texas). And then there's my second strongest genetic group: CENTRAL PUERTO RICO. That came as one of the biggest shocks of my life. Before I met my fiance I had no idea about that, but now I see how God can bring genetics back together. Ha! The main regional concentration where they found my DNA seems to be Utuado, PR. Apparently, the genetic connection is still in my DNA, and clusters me as a member of that gene pool. Well, if one goes digging deep enough sooner or later I guess they'll find something. Your Spanish is very, very LOW for Latin America. So you are really African-Puerto Rican and do not have strong genetic ties to Spain. So you are mostly African and Taino really. In Latin America there are no "Afro-Latinos" that is a new American thing. In Latin America you are just Puerto Rican which is a nationality not an ethnic group so like I said your ethnicity is African-Taino, your nationality if you were born in America is African-Taino-American. Remember it is DNA that makes someone of Latin descent not culture not birthplace language etc.. So in other words you can most definitely say you are really African-Taino Puerto Rican or just African-Puerto-Rican if you are from Puerto Rico. This is true especially since your Spanish is so incredibly low. Most Latin Americans have between 40-90% Spanish and other European DNA which varies upon regions of course. Dominicans have some of the lowest Spanish DNA profiles in this grouping. This was interesting.
