However Shukra's daughter devyani fell in love with Katch and wanted to marry him . However after learning the vidya ,Katchh refused to marry her , due to which he was cursed that he will not be able to use this vidya .

Agree. Jupiter has conditions attached to his beneficence. Shukra doesn't. That is why inspite of Shani being a Deva was accepted by Shukra as his disciple. Jupiter refused to teach Shani for being an illegitimate child of the Sun.

I don't know if anyone explained this but I did have to speak with my mother about this and she explained to me that the loss of shukracharyas left eye was the result of him entering a "Sankalp" or water vessel, that King Bali was using for puja (the story relates to Vamana Avtar). To loosen what they thought was a blockage a piece of Kusha was used and in effect poked Shukracharya's left eye. KRS explanation though about the 12rh and 2nd house actually makes alot of sense when I related back to this story and honestly solidifies not just the importance of jyotish texts but understanding the philosophical underpinnings. It was an enlightening discussion with my mum, so thanks KRS

Yeah, I also mostly see Venus as golden and kind of a guardian angle quality when I meet her. But now I also understand the connection to Purva Phalgunis great spiritual connection and knowledge which some astrologers mention. This is everything I have been experiencing since last october.. I hv sun and jupiter in ninth house in cancer and venus in 10th house in leo with Mars and mercury.. I'm not an expert in astrology and I guess I'll never stop learning, so maybe this comment will be a bunch of random stuff and my intuition might be wrong but I've been thinking over and over recently and obsessivly about venus and what it represents, and it must be something more than just the typical descriptions, I mean it might be all those things like beauty and all that, but... sometimes those descriptions feel incomplete and just shallow, I really don't know. Thank you sir for the information and I have been researching on saravan from past one year and as you said the 12th from Venus is focused when Venus being in saravan and that too in 3rd pada as 3 is the significance of moksha in Sravan terminology at the age where Venus chara dasha or Karnataka chara dasha the person starts going towards the 12th from Venus only if significant ketu is attached to it the person will go into the left eye of sukracharya to see high intuitions astrology knowledge and the knowledge of trap . The most powerful thing is that if sun placed in 12th from Venus ketu being involved with sun this will drive the person backwards to the voice of Venus the greatest shukracharya 🙏

Oh wow that sounds like a scary scene!!! I have swati venus, so 12th from venus is my Hasta mercury in virgo. and 2nd from venus is empty scorpio house. However, I argue that obsessing over mars is an extension of my 12th from venus because my natal mars is in gemini sign punarvasu nakshatra. lol I feel like I have listened pretty well to my Hasta mercury because it was Saturn-Mercury dasha where i graduated college and first encountered vedic astrology. Which was back in 2018. :)
