Stumbled across your channel sir. I think this is the first time I have seen a car started and completed, step by step and, as I am getting into the model car genre, you dispelled some of the 'fears' shall we say. Great vid and you got yourself a sub. Thanks a lot, Al

I learned to drive a '71 when I was 10 in '81 and have since owned a '67,'76 and still own a '68 since I was 14. I've had the orig kit since it came out,but haven't even opened it yet. Looking at getting a few more and the Baja's. I'll eventually have a collection of them,painted the colors of the ones I have actually owned and paint a few in colors I may want to change to on the '68. I restored the '68 back in '89 and painted it the same white/black as the mud race Bronco that my made into from the '71. The '68 is still all 100% factory Ford steel as back in '88 one could still get a grill,tailgate,rockers,and front fenders directly from Ford.

Great build Chris! Im working this kit (the Ford Bronco early edition, the blue and white one) right now as a matter of fact! I just pulled plastic out of the box, and started preliminary painting. Thx for showing us how it all goes together and giving us an idea of what to expect- you're a lifesaver! Much kudos for going another ten steps and replicating a movie vehicle as well! This kit has so many possibilities, I was considering getting another kit and turning it into a Park service ranger vehicle or another type of general purpose work truck- the possibilities are endless! :)

Ever thought of building one of these using the lift kit, wheels & tires, tube bumpers and detail parts from Fireball Modelworks? I would love to see what your version would look like.
@hpiguy4 жыл бұрын
That would be cool!

Thanks for tip about "Fireball" = great source for 4x4 +++ 60s-70s car wheel & tire sets @ lots less $$$ than "raiding" kits! Both Revell Jeep Honcho & AMT International Scout II will benefit from Tires, wheels, winches & jacks from this source!

@nickefgen92192 жыл бұрын
I’ve got several of these kits and I’ve got the other kit that doesn’t have the fender flares on it, I’ve built both versions already and I’m building a third on e like this one you built, I’ve got a the real bronco sitting in my drive way not the strope bronco just the regular bronco, I’m building the model to match the real bronco I’m even using the Same color from the real bronco on the model, I foun😢 someone online that makes resin parts for this bronco kit and got the resin door inserts to make the bronco into a roadster model like the early broncos from the factory then I’m going to paint the bronco I’m building like my one in the drive way

Thanks. I prefer to do sub-assemblies and then paint, then assemble it all in the end so that I don't have to scrape paint off each part, glue, then repaint any areas the glue removes paint from.

Love it, came out exellent Chris. What a great frame and suspension, the detail is unbelievable. Chris, what type of glue ( brand ) do you use and what did you use to dull down the chrome. I've been back building for a few years but still have a lot to learn. Thank you and Thank you for another great video. Jeff
@hpiguy7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jeff. :) My personal favorite glue is Bondene by Plastruct I use it on every kit, second would be Tamiya Extra Thin. For dulling chrome and most flat coating I use Treehouse Studio Matte spray from Hobby Lobby. Have a nice week!

Are you going to do a build review of the 93 gmc sonoma 4x4 from round 2? I haven't seen anybody build one yet even though it's a new kit.

I have a release of that kit from the 90s as a collector kit, but I do not have the reissue they released in late 2017 so it's not on my build list at the moment. Thanks!

I have now watched some of your videos and you always comment you are going to get the parts in the parts washer. What is this parts washer you refer to?
@hpiguy6 жыл бұрын
Just a dollar store dish pan and some generic simple green degreaser. :)
@bowtie43156 жыл бұрын
Ok. Thanks. I was picturing a small version of this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m56nl5ufqptppq8

Hahaha, you know I bet there are some guys out there in model world that think you need that, but a simple dish pan, some cheap degreaser and an old toothbrush are all that's needed.

Question, how do I assemble the wheels and tires? Instructions seem to indicate use no glue.

they don't want you to blue the pins in the wheels, but I do, so it doesn't roll.

@hpiguy6 жыл бұрын

What does the Windex do in the paint? Also how do you apply the Future floor wax on the glass? Thanks, been watching a lot of your videos.
@hpiguy6 жыл бұрын
Windex thins it out so it can spray. Future is applied with a brush or airbrush. Simply brush it on or spray it on the parts you want glossy and let it dry.
@alconk71296 жыл бұрын
