30:55 I think this is what Kanye was trying to convey when talking about hitler but didn’t word it correctly on the Alex jones show. I was confused when reading Mathew 38-42 and I thank the lord I found this video, and also for using you as a pastor to spread the message.

Thank you so much for this teaching. I always misunderstood what these scriptures meant. I even heard a sermon recently which kinda skirted around the meaning so I decided to see what you have say so that I could have understand it. The scripture is still being twisted and misunderstood-thank you for clarification.

I never understood these words how can we "resist not the evil" or " turn out the other cheek" . Thank God, you've explained it clearly with all the wrong ways we think about these words.

Pastor Guzik, you expositions have helped me a lot in my personal life and pastoral work, but here about giving you inner garment and outer garment I am at odds with you. The suing happens in the Court of Law, probably in the presence of the Sanhedrin or some local court in a village. So, IF the court favours the prosecutor and forces the debtor to give his inner garment and IF, as Jesus says, he gives the outer cloak as well- wouldn't he be naked in the courts? There is the sense of doing more than the Law and being more righteous than the Pharisee, but stripping yourself in the law courts like that, would it also not mean more than being sacrificially loving? With respect, pastor.

How would you contrast this to the story of the woman being stoned and Jesus says "Let him who has not sinned cast the first stone" or was it because the leading authority was Roman and it was against the law at the time and it was a trap?

You're saying we're allowed to defend ourselose or our families If we're under Physical attack. With a weapon ? But when Jesus was arrested he told Peter to put away his sword, When Peter wanted to defend Jesus with his sword. Jesus said to Peter whoever lives by the sword dies by the sword. I'm not denying what you're teaching I'm just trying to understand.

Peter was interfering with the Lord’s plan to go to the cross. It was not a prohibition against self-defense but rather a narrative account of something that took place in the garden. Peter had priorly attempted to impede Jesus’ mission by protecting Him from harm.

2 things. Jesus saved Peter's life because the romans who came to arrest him would have killed Peter if he would have attempted to interfere with the arrest of Jesus. Secondly it was the will of God that Jesus give his life on the cross for the redemption of sinners. If you live by the sword you die by it as well. What is God's will for you that you let someone abuse you. I think not.

So, let the other person hit/slapped me twice, then I can defend myself ? But If I see injustice being done, I should interfered?

Slap doesn’t mean literal, physical violence. It’s meant to mean ‘insult,’ disparage, condemn, etc..

How about these thing setting you up for their own sake and justice haha. That’s even weirder and he gave permission for people to Abuse kids. Oh really don’t say he didn’t cause he’s in charge

Obviously if you are being attacked then you need to defend yourself. I think this verse moreso states that you should turn the other cheek AFTER someone has insulted you or harassed you. If someone is physically attacking you, that's different, and well let's just say i would not follow a God that tells me not to defend myself or my family.

I disagree with the slap being only an insult. Jesus says slap, not insult. He says physical contact. There’s no reason to assume he means anything different.
