I became interested in glass when I was a teenager seeing glass pipes. I started my journey a few months ago! Slowly gathering equipment and tools, picking up a old fume hood today. :)

These are some cool products. I started blowing glass when I was 12.. sort of. I used to watch my brother on the torch and he started letting me try it. When I was 20 I built my first shop.

I’m a Machinist by trade and lamp working is my passion! I’m always making tools and manifolds for my bench and torches, it’s a brilliant idea to combine the two as a career! That would be a job to love!

That manifold is fantastic! I need one! I got into glassblowing from the blown away show on Netflix where the guy said “we’ll I mainly do sculpture work” and I was like whaaaaaat!

We are opening up a studio in Nashville and one of these manifolds would be perfect. Even if I don’t get the giveaway I will still be getting one for the shop. Thanks for showing off so many amazing artists and techniques. There’s no way I’d be here without you

Aye another video to watch and enjoy!! Oh happy day! Thanks Dustin, I love the old school feel of this video. I just got a Bethlehem Bravo , no stand, no hoses or hardware...but it's a start and a step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Love the videos. What are the benefits to having a manifold vs just having t fittings inline or a y splitter from the tank?

That's a great manifold design! the octopus style looks great but they force you to spread out the hoses which is actually more of an awkward mess

Does that frit crusher work kinda like a drill powered "pencil sharpener" only you stick a rod in and the frit falls out in a tray its placed on? I wonder if it has replacement "grinder component". Seems like a cool idea. I have been wanting some roswell frit for a while :)

Noobie question, if attaching let say a hand torch and a regular let say phantom. How would one control the psi going to each individual burners?

How does the manifold work with multiple torches if the torches use different psi of oxygen? Like a small hand torch that runs at 5 psi and a Carlisle torch that runs at 25 psi.
@mindyerbidness
@mindyerbidness 2 жыл бұрын
It doesn't appear to have any regulatory function in the box itself, you would need to get in line regulators.

@@mindyerbidness is there a diagram or visual reference we could use on here? I'd love to be able to hook up a small hand torch with my Carlisle. Make life a lot easier.

@@calebbourn4910 not that I'm aware of, and I couldn't give you a good answer with knowing more details about your workspace, but I personally just run my smith mini off of the same regulator as my nortel mid range (8 propane, 25 oxy) using oxygen and propane splitters.
