I have been taking it for about 4 mos. Had been noticing some muscle loss and dare I say flabbiness on my thighs, not like cellulite but like muscle loss for the first time in my life! Started creatine WITH strength resistance targeting my legs and seriously in ONE MONTH muscle returned to my legs. I don’t think it would’ve happened so quickly without creatine, actually.

Great video! I am obsessed with Huberman and Dr. Sinclair at the moment. So I have recently added creatine into my regime. I have noticed that my calves are a bit more defined. I have been doing Pilates mat exercises as well. I did not know that it had links to helping ATP production/mood possibly minimalizing depression. It’s also worth noting that some individuals are “non-responders” to Creatine’s effect, which I think refers to its muscle building capacity. Definitely an important supplement for me as I age. Xx

Been using it for about 6 months now. I don't see much difference. I lift a lot. Its actually my passion. I have a nice amount of muscle mass in my upper body. A good amount in my legs. My glutes are fine. I just had lipo in my inner thighs and knees rhis past February. I thought underneath my layer of genetic flabb had to be some good lean mass! Not as much as i thought! 😂 I'm trying to build up my quads a bit, but do pretty aggressive Leg and butt workouts all ready. So i decided to try Creatine and add an extra quad workout. I just upped it to 10mg per day. We'll see. I might be a non responder, but will keep taking it for its other benefits. 😊

Claudia, could we get some recommendation of topical products ( not $100,000 per treatment shots) related to Joy Kong stem cells and peptides programs. On the site they have a few creams and serums, could we get a better understanding of the benefits and in particular timing of benefits. The cream is $200 - not cheap, but if we would get understanding of time table on benefits ( before and after) the investment maybe well worth it. Thank you in advance!
@claudiaglows
@claudiaglows Жыл бұрын
Hi Helen, I actually talked about Dr. Kong‘s stem cell cream in last weeks video. I have been using it for about six weeks now and really like it. It is expensive, I’m not going to lie, but it is sort of an all in one product. So technically, you could cut out some other products when using it. I also said in that video that I am trying to find cheap alternatives, but so far I have not had much luck. Unfortunately, stem cell products do not come cheap, but I will continue to look. As far as before, and after’s with Dr. Kong’s product, that would really be a tough one. Before and after pictures are so difficult to take, and just the slightest change and lighting can distort things.

There is one hormone that is increased by creatine supplementation, that that is said to cause acne in some. Dihydrotestosterone (better known as DHT), is a byproduct of testosterone and has been shown to increase as much as 50% in those who supplement with creatine. So far, it has been shown in research that those who are prone to hair loss actually suffer an increased rate of loss when DHT levels are elevated. While not proven, it can be hypothesised that these same mechanisms that increase genetically induced bodily side effects might be the same for acne. Simply put, the increase in natural hormones from creatine supplementation in those who are predisposed to having hormone-driven acne might suffer more breakouts or make current breakouts worse.
@claudiaglows
@claudiaglows Жыл бұрын
Hi, I actually talk about this at the end of this video. There was a study showing an increase in DHT, but 12 other studies done since did not show that, nor any connection to hair loss That being said, we are all different and one can def. react to a product even if studies show the opostie@@e.b.4379

Hi gorgeous, that is a great question. And to be honest, I can’t ever be sure. I just follow the science, and take most of the supplements on good faith. There are some that I can definitely notice a difference from, like NMN. And since starting creatine, I have actually noticed a bit of improvement in strength. That being said, like I just mentioned, with more supplements, it is definitely difficult to know whether they actually do what they promise to do.

I definitely don’t think anybody needs to take supplements. Personally, I’ve always been somewhat of a scientist, and I’d like to experiment on myself. I also do not eat meat, so for me and creatine, can definitely have an extra benefit. On top of that, our soils are quite depleted, and I do think it is difficult to get certain nutrients from our diet. That is not to say that it is impossible, and again, I don’t think anybody needs to take Supplements,

Hi claudia. Just wanted to ask your opinion on increasing retinol dose from 0.05 percent to 0.1 percent? I have been using 0.05 strength for 1.5 years now. And everything is going great with my skin..no irritation no side effects. My skin is taking it well. So I thought I might increase the strength. Is it a good idea? Have you tried using 0.1 % ever? Or should I continue with same

How are you, I would say, if it’s not broken, don’t fix it. A higher strength doesn’t always equal better results, but can equal notation, which is of course what we don’t want. I have been using the same dose of of 0.05% since I started with retinoic acid, which was about five years ago now.

Hi and thanks for another informative vid. I've been thinking about adding creatine for brain health. Thanks, J a n e
@claudiaglows
@claudiaglows Жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you for being here and for your kind comment. It is suggested that vegetarian and vegan‘s have a better response to creatine supplementation, since while nuts seeds in legumes contain some creatine, they definitely are not as rich in the amino acid as meat and fish off. So I would say, if you eat a lot of meat and fish, you probably don’t need to supplement, but for me, being vegan, I definitely think it’s beneficial.

Hello Claudia! Do you only use DoNotAge products/supplements? Is there any other brand of supplements that appeals to you? I like your videos and I have watched several, nevertheless I see that you promote DoNotAge products only. Am I correct? Why?
@claudiaglows

Hi Adrienne, I have tried other longevity supplement companies and eventually went to using only DoNotAge since I truly believe they are one of the best companies out there. I do use some other supplements from other companies, such as Cymbiotica, LifeExtention and Pure Encabsulations. I really think when it comes to supplements, since there they are not regulated for purity or even ingredients, it is important to go with companies who have a good track record. What I like about DoNotAge is that they do third party testing and also invest a lot back into research.They do not sell their products in gimmicky delivery systems, claiming them to be more effective that way. Lastly, their customer service is outstanding and from what I and many of my viewers have experienced, they actually care about the individuals using their supplements. I hope this helps. If not, please never hesitate to reach out. x
