I believe the sanitization process (water filled with water in pre sump up to 1 inch and adding bleach) should be done without the ro cartridge and both pre sump filters removed. The ro cartridge can become damaged if left in during the sanitization process

I'd rather change filters

@@dustyguy yeah the filters go into pre and post sump along with the ro cartridge after the sanitization process

I came here to post this that I talked to the company you're supposed to bleach without the filters before putting the filters back in you rinse everything off put the filters in and put it all back together

Yeah thats the only part that threw me off about this video. Other then that, everything else seems right.

I know this was 3 years ago, I hope you don’t follow his instructions putting bleach while the filters are in , you suppose to remove it the add 3 tablespoons of bleach on the first cartridge case where the supply water is let it filled with water should not take that long since there is no filter. Let seat there for 15 minutes the drain until you don’t smell the bleach.

Hey I have one of these for years, you're supposed to run the bleach WITHOUT the filters - especially without the RO filter.

Only do it once a year. If you live in the country probably more often
@Melissa-st3sq3 жыл бұрын
It's just you 😉 I change these filters out every 6 months. You change the top horizontal one once a year. They go in completely White come out completely black. If you knew the stuff that was in water you would get one of these for your house immediately. Do you know when they embalm bodies and they drain all your blood out of your system that goes right down the drain, that's not hazardous waste that's in your water when you drink it. Look up how United States filters our water versus like france. You'll want a reverse osmosis filter after that.

It depends how the water is where you live
@evokeexperienceagency3 жыл бұрын
and why did you add bleach??
@dustyguy3 жыл бұрын
That is what the replacement instruction tell you to do. You will when finished and it fills up that you will open the faucet for 15 minutes and the teaspoon of bleach cleans out the filter case and the lines.

@@dustyguy there's a black grommet on the inside of the cap, for the filter on the top, I just screwed it back in like you did in the video and it caused a leak, luckily it didn't break, the thing got stuck so I had to use a bunch of tools to open it back up,
