Love your tutorials, you get to the point yet give necessary details, your camera is always on the actual work and it is clear. You do not talk to us about what fingernail polish you are wearing or any blah blah so I thank you sooooo much for providing us with these EXCELLENT tutorials, keep up the good work...

I love it when you watch a good 'how-to' video like yours. It's complete and very easy to understand. I'd like to add this: your voice is pleasing and very soothing. Oh, I love your accent, too! Thanks for teaching this stitch so well!

I am busy with a blanket and was not sure what type of border I should make and a friend mentioned the Revers stich, I said what a great idea! I NEVER heard of such a stich. I was to embarrassed to ask her what it is cause I have been crocheting longer than her! So I went on KZbin and you popped up first! I want to compliment you on your tutorials and the quality of your videos, they are absolute great!! You have a new Fan!! Stay safe!! Greetings from South Africa ❤️🧶

I just completed a huge (10.5 x 12.5)blanket for my son. I added a 3 hdc border and wanted complete it with the rsc. Don’t do it often enough to remember even though it’s so easy . Your tutorial is excellent- to the point with the best camera angles. Thanks so much - keeping this one for next refresher. North Texas

There's an interesting variation on the RSC. Once you finish the stitch as you've demonstrated, you insert the hook through the two front strands and single crochet to the end of the row. Really pretty finishing stitch.

I would love to do this for the edge of a shawl, but I do not have the defined stitch into which to crochet (top edge of v-shawl). Would I first have to make a row of single crochet and then reverse crochet into that? I’ve had this incomplete shawl lying around for ages as I’ve not been happy with the top edge - I think this could work - your opinion please 🙏🏻 TIA
@planetjune3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think your idea sounds good! You could do it without the row of sc first, but then you'd have more to think about at once (where to place each stitch, plus actually forming the rsc stitches) - so your idea will make that much simpler, as you'll have a nice stable edge to rsc into.

I wanted to do this on the edge of a blanket. I finished the blanket, so the row would start fresh. If I single crochet with the wrong side facing me, wouldn't that be the same thing?

Thanks for the video. What is the stitch for the swatch you’re using?
@planetjune Жыл бұрын
I made this video too long ago to remember, but it looks like basic rows of single crochet to me. You can use reverse single crochet to add an edging to any stitch pattern.

is this what you do when the pattern doesn't state mr or turn in the patter? Thanks
@planetjune4 жыл бұрын
No, Arlene, this is a technique for a final decorative edging row *only* - it doesn't leave loops for you to crochet back into, so you wouldn't use it in the main part of a pattern.

Thanks, Cheryl. When I filmed this in 2011 I only had an old camcorder to work with, so there is a bit of street noise and possibly a Canada Goose you can hear faintly in the background! (I don't think there were any dogs barking though...) Rest assured, my recording equipment is much better these days, and you shouldn't hear *any* background noise in my recent videos ;)

I'm sorry to hear that! You can change the playback speed to watch my hook moving more slowly - try slowing the speed to 0.5 so you can watch it in slo-mo, and see if that helps.
