I had always wondered if reverse wash would be a viable technique for this model, thanks for the demonstration!

You are most welcome.

Great sharing of exploring and adapting your process as you went through. Only suggestion about the burnt umber under painting is mixing some of it into the good as a base coat. 1:2 Burnt Umber to Retributor Armour first then a final thin layer of Retributor Armour would look great.

Great idea of mixing burnt umber with gold. I did that on a regular mini before, and it worked like a charm.

Looks good. Doing the Sleeves markings on a Sinanju doesn't seem so bad after that.

Nice idea, got 2 to paint and wasn't motivated by all the gold trims....

Oh man! I procrastinated too… for so long. 😰

Have you ever used liquid mask? It can cover areas that you don't want to get paint on.

Yes. Messy to apply. 😊

Thank you for sharing; Did you have a challenge painting the skin over the "Gloss Varnish"? How well did the paint adhere to the "Gloss Varnish"?
@DonSuratos Жыл бұрын
Painting the skin over the gloss seemed fine. Maybe the first coat was a bit of a struggle. But a secondary thin coat gave me a nice full coverage. 😊🎨🎨🎨

The scale 75 range of gold are the best. Their dwarven gold was so good I replaced retributor armor. I recently painted an entire world eaters army and I also reverse painted. Black prime, copper base, necro gold from s75, a light wash with agarx, highlighted with elven gold from s75,

Ahhh… Scale75. Not available here. 😊

Next time you get a bunch of trim like that try to use some paint markers. It makes the job so much easier. Great job though!

Awesome idea! Been ages since I used markers, but will do next time. Thanks! 😊
