Older people need a pattern they can print, I am 70 and been sewing many years. I like this bowl cozy better than any I have seen. Thank you I think I got it all . You go very fast. Again thank you.

Yayyyy! Thank you Whitney and Lesley. I made a cosy from other channels and my cosy was all sloppy. Your bowl is as deep as mine so your measuring formula should be perfect! Now maybe I can reconfigure my cosy. 😁💖

I have been wanting to make these for some time, just hadn't found the time or a pattern, now I have no excuses! Haha These would make a perfect holiday gift! Also I have an issue with keeping a constant even sem, any tips to help me out??
@Whitney_Sews5 жыл бұрын
I get a flexible measuring tape and put it under my presser foot and bring the needle down so it just barely touches the 1/4 inch mark. I put a piece of tape so it lines up with the edge of the tape measure. This way I have a mark to go off of. I do it for 1/2 inch as well with a different color tape. Then as I sew I make sure to keep the edge of the project lined up with the tape. This is much easier to me than the machines with markings already on them. That and just practicing helps :)
@jessiereid14385 жыл бұрын
That helps tremulously! I know what I'll be doing this evening then. Thanks so much! :)

Hi this might seem a stupid question but how do I size this up for larger bowls please. This will be great to go with my daughters Christmas gifts of napkins and pot holders.
@Whitney_Sews5 жыл бұрын
You would need to just play around with it. I've only made them in this size, so I don't know if there is a formula that could be followed for scaling
@serendipitysue32555 жыл бұрын
I found this on another tutorial. The pattern she was making didn't round the corners. Hope this helps. 15 " x 15 " size bowl holders: I used 1 " across and 3 " down for the darts 12 " x 12 " size bowl holders: I used 1 " across and 2 1/2 " down for the darts 10 " x 10 " size bowl holders: I used 1 " across and 2 " down for the darts.

Hi , love the idea of these, can you use normal non fusible batting left over from a quilt ? Thanks
@emmysideris87683 жыл бұрын
Wrap and zap is recommended if you’re to place it in the microwave as many cotton batting have scrim in them which can cause your products to catch on fire
