Could you elaborate more how you are gaming on it? Crossover, Native (app store, or steam), Emulation, Thank you.
@Aaron_BleuАй бұрын
@@JoelFabianiJust got the Mac but have played native (App Store and Steam). Specifically played these games so far at the very max settings they can go and connected to an ultra-wide monitor: Resident Evil 2 (Native), Stray(Steam)
@williamhelena7592Ай бұрын
@@JoelFabianiI can speak on this. I play Baulders gate 3 native on my M4 Max twice a week with my friends using the built in screen and the game defaults to high settings. Never really experience any hang ups with it. Final Fantasy 14 and Death Stranding directors cut are also a treat. I’ve heard that there is a list of games that run rock solid with Crossover including The witcher 3, cyberpunk and a few others. Basically, the horsepower is there, it’s just lacking the support from developers

@JoelFabianiАй бұрын
@ thank you. I’ll check that.

@@JoelFabiani I've also found that once you run TopNotch and it adjusts your wallpaper, it's best to just quit the app and don't let it run in the background. I've had it glitch out when connecting external displays before, and without it running it's fine. All you gotta do is just re-run it the next time you change your wallpaper.
@JoelFabianiАй бұрын
That’s a truly valuable tip. Thanks for sharing. I believe the glitches I’ve been experiencing are related to this issue, as they occur in the same scenario. You’re truly the best man.

@accordinglyryanАй бұрын
Yeah that's the one downside with this color, it shows dust and smudges pretty bad. It's worth it to me because it looks so good, but a quick cleaning once in a while with a microfiber and some cleaning spray safe for electronics will take care of it.

So the "vignetting-effect" of the mini-led display is not annoying you?
@accordinglyryanАй бұрын
I've never noticed anything of the sort. I really don't know what people are talking about lol
@newQnsАй бұрын
@@accordinglyryan That's very nice, perhaps you're just lucky in having a perfect unit, so congratulations. 🙂 My unit has it and it drives me quite crazy. I hope I get used to it. PS; just FYI: When you for example use the MacOS zoom function and you zoom into a white canvas so that your whole screen is white, you should see a lack in uniformity regarding the backlight from the mini-leds, resulting in a shadow around the edges of the screen. It can also appear a bit blueish in certain environments. If your's doesn't have that, again: Awesome and congratulations. But as far as I can tell, every MacBook with mini-led backlight has that in different degrees of intensity and I think I will check out an Applestore soon to make sure my unit really is fine, since all my info and confirmation on that issue is just web-based for now.
@accordinglyryanАй бұрын
@@newQns Hmm, interesting. I guess the reason I haven't noticed it is because I rarely view full screen white content, almost everything is set to dark mode lol

Thank you very much for replying to my messages. So I guess you notice it too now, right? Sorry for that. xD I appreciate your responses very much, since I'm not sure what to think about this and every person that tells me I'm not alone and that it's normal, potentially saves me a 2 hour ride to the next Applestore and more hassle in general. And don't get me wrong, I think the display is awesome otherwise and I hope to get to not noticing it soon.
