After the E30 in the 80s and then the E36 in the 90s, BMW had to relaunch the 3 Series with a new generation capable of seducing the public in the same way that its predecessors had done. The resulting resoundingly successful E46 design was launched in 1998 followed two years later by the sports version as the M3.

Not bad for the price of the car. Shame about Solido mainly only have opened side doors but not the engine bay or boot (trunk). Will be nice for them to make a CSL version of this E46 M3 with some carbon graphic.

True it will be better if they've made the M3 GTR from need for speed most wanted I will buy that too

@@godofdestructiondiecast6756 True, but then Solido will require both licences from BMW M3 GTR as well as Need For Speed, the model would be really expensive I think. But I can imagine it would be a nice model to add to the collections. 😊👍🏼

With small and easy touches and a suitable figure and a diorama scene, this piece would be amazing. Painting, gaps are all great for this price tag. Gaps are much smaller than 7 series of Minichamps that costs 3x. 😁

Solido only make openable doors these days 😩 So no opening trunk nor engine bay access. Solido is at a nice position to make these even better (at higher prices) they just don't... (And they have great cars in their catalog). Oh well ... Love the colors on this series. Good review! 💪🏽

It's supposed to be BMW's automated manual transmission (SMG). The shifter looks quite similar to a manual gearshift.

Solido - low cost diecast Its good for 1:18 Dacia Duster , low cost car, low cost diecast - model has good feeling. But it this M3 isnt work… exterior looks fine if I dont look on proporcional not good front bumper, lights details etc… But interior is very bad :( same level of floor in interior, missing many details, many m3 decorations… But today are AA and kyosho M3 e46 quite expensive so for somebody who need M3 e46 and has low budget its ok… My final rating 5 of 10…
