What a lot of people forget is that the gear ratios of the demon are set so it’s fastest at the beginning of acceleration and it slows down at higher speeds. A Hellcat would actually be faster at higher speeds theoretically
@Shaqqbro6 жыл бұрын
John Shukeireh because people nowadays are like “horsepower means everything yo!” Those are the retards that don’t know that gearing, weight, and power band comes to speed as well
@PeRRXX6 жыл бұрын
shaqosaurus 831 yea I notice it mostly with Mopar guys. I’ve got nothing against them, but they pretend the Hellcat is faster then it’s competition and the fastest thing in the world. When in reality the ZL1 is faster

Reminds me of when i was a 16 yr old kid and was given a ride in a challenger with 440 that was supercharged with the blower rising out of the hood and had huge slicks and wheelie bars on the back.I believe he said it was putting out near 1,000 hp ...driver took it onto public road and said hang on and when it was punched , my guts got rearranged,my neck got whiplashed,the front end lifted up off the ground and i was screaming like matt maran! fastest ,most vicious acceleration i had ever experienced, positively terrifying,especially so when ur the passenger!

Sucks that every bigger KZbinr cannot review one of these cars without mentioning the weight, that’s why all these people are “weight,weight,weight,weight,weight,weight,weight,weight,weight,weight,weight,weight” and people themselves don’t drive the car instantly start saying “fucking boat needs two hundred more horsepower than competitors just to covercome the weight” and shit like that, hopefully your reaction from the acceleration can change these peoples thoughts on the “omg it’s a shitty boat that runs 100 seconds in the quarter mile because it’s 65 million tons.....” loved your review none the less! 👍

Matt that was the best acceleration reaction to date i think.. I think I knew it would be going in though lol. Btw Just for those street legal Nittos you would have to heat them up via a 10 second burnout at a stop light or something to get that smooth gripping power similar to what you'd would expect with drag only tires. They're probs not sticky enough to get 0-60 in under 3 seconds on the street but the demon best party trick in my opinion has to be that medium speed (from like 70mph) 4th gear highway pulls, the rate in which this demon can accelerate from 70mph to 168mph vmax is downright absurd, but your best off heating them up (via a quick burn out and some low speed throttle mashing right before you turn onto the highway, finding the right combination of straight smoothly paved 70mph speed limit or more and low traffic highway to cruise on in this car would be a fun weekend activity lol just to experience that power band from 60-70 mph when no1s looking. Man with the right octane race gas to get that 840 hp figure in it's lightest specification no seats ac or radio with the skinny front tires (after a low engine speed 1500 mile break-in) on a cold dry day at sea level with true drag radials I bet this thing would stand a fair chance at beating that stripped out Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous to 60 mph from Tesla Racing Channel. That is of course, only if the Demon driver properly launched it and wasn't too heavy of a person, every pound counts, half tank of fuel or less, but conditions would need to be perfect for that outcome considering its a RWD Muscle car with 58% of it's 4230lb curb weight over the front axle. Also rear tires would have to be prepped and reduced to around 22-25 psi and front tires would benefit from around 45-50 psi for minimal rolling resistance. I honestly think even at sea level with the air being densest at that altitude that still like not much warmer than 20 degrees farenheit would need to be the temperature outside for the cooling system to not be working overtime robbing power.. but also sunny at like a well prepped black drag strip so the tarmac is warm enough lets say maybe at around 1pm-2pm noon after 7-8 hours of constant sunlight beating down on the strip. these would be the best possible conditions for any car, especially something like this or the Camaro ZL1, Corvette Z06, Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, etc. Again the 100+ octane race gas would be a must as would true non road legal (and also slightly broken in) Nitto, hoosier or Mickey thompson drag radials would be a must for this dream to become a reality. I definitely want American Muscle to have its' final hoo-rah by beating that damn tesla on camera at what its best at (if the demon won the 1000m or 8th mile i'd be happy, quarter mile is expected to be honest) and for someone to make a video of a drag prepped Tesla P100D ludicrous racing a prepped Demon, in the 1000m, eighth mile, quarter mile, half mile and standing mile. To spruce things up even more maybe even bring a Kawasaki Ninja H2R, Modified 1000hp+ R35 GTR, oh and why not: The Bugatti Chiron and all its' 1500 hp AWD Fury.. to be honest i would be VERY surprised if anything could beat the chiron on the strip save for maybe a truely bonkers modified for drag strip car. If only I was Morgan freeman from Bruce Almighty I could make this shit happen and show it to everyone, but till then my imagination remains mostly in my head... except for, of course, the KZbin comments section. If 1 person reads this and nods their head to themselves in approval then comments/posts like this are worth it to me lol.

If Dodge stitch welded the chassis instead of seam sealer they could of lost another 50-100 pounds and increased how rigid the chassis is by like 50% but the cost would be more and take longer to build. But they could of used carbon fiber on the roof hood fenders quarter and doors and lost like 500 pounds then put a cage in it and run low 9's consistently but the car would be probably around $100K with all that done.
