@@benjaminwiner6220 I don’t disagree but usually with German cars we know well in advance of 100k miles if the motor is shit or not. So far these ones have been really good across the board.

This entire car has aged so well given the mileage. I know the 5 cyl Audis are all the hype for how they can be tuned but this is no slouch, either. Weird about them not doing cooling seats with the quilted pattern, but a decent tradeoff if you don't live in a hot climate.

I've always loved the Audi S4, it's one of my favourites in the compact luxury sports sedan segment. I love its 3.0L turbo V6 and it's all around one of the perfect sports sedans to have. Of course I'd still take the BM2 M340i, that's always the king in this segment, but I like the overall package that the S4 gives you. Also I love the this pre-facelifted S4 a bit more in terms of looks than the facelifted one, although the facelifted one still looks awesome with its more aggressive look. I prefer a more softer elegant look and this S4 certainly gives you that.

I love my 2018 S5! It’s almost identical to the S4 but adds the hatch which is very spacious. The powertrain is a major highlight, lots of power, smooth transmission, and it sounds great. You said this S4 doesn’t have the adaptive cruise control - those sensors on the front only came with the system, it just isn’t always obvious at first when it’s on. The adaptive cruise makes life so much easier for heavy traffic commutes or long drives. I waited to find one with the sport package and it was definitely worth it, the rear differential makes a big difference while cornering on throttle to make the rear rotate. The adaptive dampers are nice but I usually find myself using the individual mode to leave the suspension in comfort. The value in the pre-refresh models from 18 and 19 is the way to go, post 2020 gets you the touch screen (which I don’t care to have) and updated styling but also gets you cheap piano black plastic on the center console and adds usually $5-10k. A low mileage 18 or 19 can go for around $40k or less!
@benhaze101010 ай бұрын
From a 2017 A4 owner the S4 or S5 prior to the touch screen / piano black update would be an awesome car to get! Audi of late are considerably using cheaper interior materials

I have a 2021 A4 and I stuck with the 2.0T as I plan to keep it forever and in terms of long term cost, the EA888 will be MUCH less expensive than the 6 or 8 cylinder Audi motors. Based on my experience with the 6 cylinder Audi's in the past, at about 7 years you better get rid of it.
