Review: 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 SUV - Most Luxurious 3-Row EV

I spend a week with the 2023 Mercedes EQS SUV to see what it's like to live with. Aside from one big flaw that may be a dealbreaker for some, it's otherwise a very nice vehicle to live with once you get past the learning curve. And especially for those that want a luxury 3-row EV, the Mercedes interior blows away the interiors you'll find in a Tesla Model X or Rivian R1S. But that extra luxury doesn't come cheap, with this vehicle's as-tested price of about $117,000 coming in tens of thousands of dollars more than the Tesla and Rivian. But if you aren't looking for value, the Mercedes has a lot of nice touches that the competitors can't match. What do you think about the EQS SUV? Looking at the exterior, I couldn't pay more than $40k for this. Hell, I think the RAV4 looks better than this thing. $117k and no heated steering wheel? Unbelieavable. Thanks for the review!

it's like the designers never showed up to work so they decided to make it look like a bland, generic jelly bean. hell nah 🤣 this car looks like it's worth about 20k

I like calling the EQE and EQS the Jellybean Boys. I don't know if I could ever afford one of these but I would opt for the EQE without the hyperscreen. Though the EQS does look really good in person.

Great review. I'm the kind if buyer who really demands that the small everyday things be good, as that's the kind of stuff that really makes or breaks the daily driving experience, especially in a pricey vehicle. A volume knob, heated steering wheel, and good brake feel absolutely need to be in a $117k vehicle.

Matt...I don't think I would want to step over that running board every time getting in and out of the vehicle. The volume control that only has a slider would seem like a nuisance also, and more than knit-picking. Thank you for good review as always.
