I own one and it is really a nice unit. Very bright with the most throw I have ever seen on a head mounted light, but the low light settings are also extremely useful. The low light modes never get the love that the high numbers receive, but in practice they are so useful for admin tasks. With a discount code you can get it for 90 bucks delivered, which is a fair price.

Does it really go bright though I need something for fishing I need to be able to see my spots on the lake at 100 yards at night when I need to get on them

@@kiranpurewal9774 Lumens and Candela are two different things. 2000 lumens means it gets really crazy bright for a headlamp, but 12,000 candela means it is not meant for long distance throw. I would say it easily illuminates a 50 yard area on the brightest setting, and you would be able to see out to 100 yards but not clearly. I would use the headlamp for up-close work and grab a handheld light with a candela rating of 20k-30k candela and less lumens for your long distance needs.

I just ordered one of these, and it may be just what I need to be able to cycle at night at some of the same high speeds I do during the day, but at night when there is little to no traffic!

Does it have memory mode? If not..its a bummer..to cycle it every time i turn it on..just suck's..

THINK may have found replacement for Nitecore for HC33. It's Good for power-failure/blackouts, close-quarters camping & the like. HC 65 UHE looks Perfect for everything else....

How would this work as a bicycle headlamp? Wish they made a handlebar mount too. What caliper do you have there it looks interesting.

Sure. Attach with a few rubber bands and off you go 🤣

Very nice review 👍 I'm surprised its doesn't overheat as is usually custom with Nitecore , maybe they've started to figure it out .

It gets really hot when it's warm outside while using turbo. Low/mid/high it really doesn't get that hot.

A sliding or rotary dial would make this so much simpler.

It's got most of the features I look for, but if they only would've added a 3000K feature on this as well for at least 100 and 400 Lumens, this light would be a homerun. I'm mostly going to be using this for mowing snow with a snowblower, and I'd prefer a warmer kelvin temp for that. I have been looking at the Fenix HM65R-T v2.0 as well, but that's more of a harsh spotlight beam that I really do not want. That light cannot tilt the lamp upwards at all either and also no red light feature. There are some other options on the market that are of high quality as well but I find several options that just have overcomplicated head straps/bands, or uncomfortable to wear etc. This Nitecore HC65 UHE seems to be the best allrounder of what I have come across at least.

Great review. I've been using mine for a few months. UI was a little weird at first but is now really easy to use as I've gotten used to it. Thing is bright AF and attracts bugs on turbo like no other light I own. No regrets with this at all. Added the carbon 6k battery pack and it lasts a long time.

I’m pretty much used to the UI at this point too. But it took a bit
