These headphones are the best I’ve used for music production. Love them.
@luckym_dj6 жыл бұрын
You shouldn't produce on headphones. At least not the mixing or the mastering... Use monitors for those stages. Medium monitors to mix and to mastering you can make 2 versions, one on medium speakers and another on small and on headphones. All those new hip hop shitty tracks are made by kids with 50$ headphones. Try to listen them on an professional PA and its completely trash. All distorted and over bass and over compressed...
@gearheadproductions32366 жыл бұрын
@@luckym_dj dude, you talk like a producer. But you dont share the mindset of an engineer. Anything with a decent set of speakers will be perfectly fine for monitoring. As long as you are a talented engineer, reference properly, and take adequate breaks. These headphones will do fine.
@luckym_dj6 жыл бұрын
Even on 10000$ headphones you shouldn't mix or masterl. It will sound great on those headphones ok, but on car speakers? on good PA's? nop it wont be the same
@luckym_dj6 жыл бұрын
Agree, but i am an engineer, on a studio there's normally 3 sets of speakers, main, close range and closer/smaller. People mix on close range or on the mains, like to test on a big pa, then the smaller ones are to emulate car speakers bluetooth portable shitty speakers etc etc... I work on Atlantic Blue Studios in Portugal btw have a quick look at it ;)

@@rizl_ini this might be a bit late but the sound quality in my opinion as a musician is great for the price, the bass is not oversaturated and the vocals do not distort when the volume gets high, genuinely overall never had any problems and I love making music on them. Honestly design is so much more important than material, I had some Crossfade LP2's (no shade, they lasted like 6 years of heavy use) but even being largely metal construction there were some plastic and rubber sections integral to the design that failed eventually anyway.

I have a question now, what are your headphones of choice ? On my side I use Sony MDR v55 and they are cheap, sound good with very punchy bass (although the bass is a little, round and not sharp compared to other headphones I tried) but yeah they last me 2years a pair and they are under 40euros. I can recommend them to djs on a budget.
@areamode15446 жыл бұрын
For the price you can't go wrong with the M50x. They are comfortable and sound nice. Cons are literally no soundstage and a noticeable lack of resolution. For electronic music fully recommendation, but not for music styles with voices.

The sound is fine for my monitoring purposes, but the cups press too hard on my neck - just below the earlobe, and I'm not sure how to adjust this. With other brands you can slightly bend the metal section of the band, but this pair have plastic backing on the metal. Any ideas?? Thanks.

I have a question, I like them and i have friends who have them and are great but why not buy Pioneer DJ HDJ-X7??!! They're $199, a new product, specially designed for DJ's and to stand a beating and even sweat is in count for the foam material. Tested and developed using the most common DJ gear, so you'll be using exactly as they are meant to be used. Oh and a 50mm drive... I think it's the peak DJ of headphones (of that price range). Hey you should review the new wireless headphone natus one module!! So much DJs are using them!! It’s super popular now in the DJ world!!
@HBC101TVStudios6 жыл бұрын
Wireless headphones, besides the one with aptX, AAC and LDAC (only SBC), are a *complete No-No* for DJing. The latency caused by Bluetooth codecs are going to annoy the DJ when it comes to mixing and beatmatching. Plus, Bluetooth codecs recompresses your lossily compressed music files (like MP3s and AACs) and it'll make the sound quality even worser. (if you use them in Serato or Traktor)
@bboymac846 жыл бұрын
HBC101TV Studios I think you should try this product made by DJs before saying no

@@bboymac84 I would only use a wireless headphone if it has a wired option and provides AptX for better sound quality. For example, my Sony headphones has LDAC as well as aptX HD and a wired option. Does that Natus One Module have those features? I would buy a pair if they have those features.
