Beautiful locomotive ! I have a Br Blue Large Logo 37417 from Bachmann and it sounds quite similar not too bad but it could have been better (with Legomanbiffo ??). I am certainly happy with it but I am curious to see and hear the Accurascale 37. I have only ordered the Deltic from Accurascale.

I have both a C37 and C55 Accurascale on pre-order so we shall see how they work out. I'm happy to wait a bit so long as the quality is good when they arrive.

The weight and inertia alone makes bachmann 37's the best, others brands are weedy, these are quality

Thanks for a detailed review of this model - Very nicely done. Can I ask if it would be possible to share what sound chip has been used on these models in future reviews? I have standardised on using LokSound chips on my railway simply because I make lots of modifications to the Functions keys to keep them in a consistent format for the layout operators. It was a mission to try and maintain the knowledge for both ESU and ZIMO and so I chose one based on the quantity of Locos already installed. I think I save a snippet which showed SWD as being the sound provider on this engine. Could you confirm? Regards, David

Hi David, thanks for the suggestion. There are a few additional technical items I would like to include in the reviews going forward and this is one of them. The decoder here is a Loksound 4 decoder which seems to be pretty standard for Bachmann factory fitted sounds locos these days.
