Harry thanks for this video… I always use your videos along with the Image’s from the Battlefront website during construction 🚧 of any new model … about 2-3 years ago with the Kursk Starter set I built my first Battlefront T-34 and it was quite challenging with all the pieces and without your guidance… the first few that I built I installed the exhaust upside down 🙃without realizing it… Too keep everything uniform all my T-34s and the SU-85s have inverted exhaust… it’s a constant reminder for me to do research 🔬 on the kits and be patient before just gluing things together

Oh no. I think I commented to someone else that BF should maybe have a guide for this kit.

I don't even need any T-34s for my modern forces but I found the model to be so interesting it would be fun to build a few of these in different configurations. Just for collecting

Gofor it!

This, and possibly the Panther/Jagdpanther, are two sets that I think would warrant a re-release with new tooling. The T-34s are such a chore to tidy up and build compared with other brands.

Then they could do the rear hull plate as a separate part , so the early ones have the correct shape hatch . 😲

Yeah. Both of these are older kits, and their inexperience with plastic shows. Neither are unusable, but a refresh would be nice.

Building Red Army Tank Shock Group right now. This is helpful. I glued the wrong track guard on the 85

You would not be the only one. There are a number of “gotchas” with this kit. I’m surprised BF don’t have more instructions for the T-34.

It builds a great kit. But the MG parts are a real pain in the butt. Also: I like war diaries. 😀

Agree about the MGs. War Diary comment noted!

When i built mine I accidentally put the 100mm guns on my T-34/85. Opps

Easy to do. I had to find a great article by Breakthrough Assault outlining all the parts. Worth a look. breakthroughassault.co.uk/so-whats-on-this-sprue-martins-guide-to-the-t-34-plastic-kit-parts/

This is one of their worst kits in the range. The MG and the cupolas being the weakest points. The cupola view ports on most of the kids get ruined when removing from the sprue, or the detail is missing all together. The sprue gates on the turret are huge and a pain to clean as you said.

I would agree this is one of their weakest *plastic* kits. Some of their resin and metal kits are less fun. Both this and some of the Panther kits suffer from being early plastics, and still incorporating parts originally designed for hybrid resin/plastic kits. They do take substantial time and effort to build. Luckily I only need to build three more.
