Thanks so much for the review, Luke! The next revision update of the skewer should be able to effectively vanguard magazines with a bit of pulling force. I'm aiming to stick to this ram design to maximize as much bolt airflow as possible.

I'm doing okay sleep-wise. The '95 Crossbow files were derived from the modeling work I did over 5 years ago and released as public domain. And all the skewer hardware kits I sell ship with undercut ramrods. I'm also offering kit options for the skewbow and the extra-nonsensical pump-action skewer.
@Sillybutts3 жыл бұрын
Can confirm, my Crossbow design was based off of Slug’s prior work. Basically everything had to be redone or extremely edited, but the original Slug files are still there in spirit.

Endless love for this blaster. I've taken mine to a few games and just had endless fun, it's so great for a light loadout, and my kid loved it so much we built a second one together for him!

We're already looking into the new year with great promise for the hobby. What blaster design would you like to see the hobby build in 2022? We'll do a poll on this later, pitting the 5 most popular comments head to head!

Taffy popped off with this design. The only Talon Claw-like blaster I love.

So taffy plays at our local club and I'm telling you the skewer is very war practical. I've been tagged so many times with one.

I really love this blaster! I don't have one yet but the playful puzzle-piece-like aesthetic and funky internal mechanism really appeal to me. It seems like the hardware is pretty simple so I'd love to try and build one from scratch myself. Thanks for the review!

So freakin fun. It hasn't replaced my Lynx/Gecko loadout but it's a blast to run with.

If you lengthen the priming handle a bit an print a T-handle with a hook, you could probably shoulder it comfortable and use your shoulder to prime it by just pushing the blaster forward.

I wonder if you can make a video about powered springers like the Stampede and why they haven't been explored very much? I'm NOT gonna do it myself, but having a trigger released springer with an linear actuator or gear system to reset the plunger could get around a ton of the gripes people had about it/

Bring it to ADL several of our folks have brought them to games!

I always viewed this as an oversized pistol design personally. You ARE supposed to run and gun with this. I feel like this occupies the same space as the scamp from manzan designs for example. just my 2 cents.
@skye14913 жыл бұрын
The scamp is a good amount smaller than the skewer, but see your point

Is this type of priming mechanism easier for a little kid? I feel bad, daughter and me running around with nexus pros and my 6 yo cant use anything decent due to the difficulty of priming a higher fps blaster
@Sillybutts3 жыл бұрын
The direct prime of a T pull does make the prime easier. I think a k31 or 788 Skewer could work for a 6 year old.
@xr8dmoose1353 жыл бұрын
@@Sillybutts thank you for answer, have to look into it in the new year for him
@tactiti0n2 жыл бұрын
Alternatively bodyweight training (Push ups in particular) could give the little guy the required muscular heft needed to prime a heavier spring. Working out is always a heck of a lot more fun with goals in mind, I've found : )
@davida68892 жыл бұрын
Could a spaghetti armed 9 year old prime this blaster? He’s interested in it but he can’t prime some adventure force springers ....
@outofdarts2 жыл бұрын
The one we received, I believe, has a K25, which would probably be a more difficult prime for younger players. However, the plunger tube is a standard size, so If you purchase the blaster with a 7-8-8 or equivalent spring, It will make for an easier prime (at the cost of performance).

I need some help with something. I looked into it and there is no active nerf group that I know of in the Orlando area, and I see that as a issue. The best thing we have is nerf areas which charge you to enter and highly control what you can use. I know no one will see this but if you live in the Orlando area let me know if you would want to start one, because I’m going to need people and help. Thanks. P.S pls like, not because I want the internet points but I want more people to see this

Ok. If I make a Skewer, I’m gonna put one of those 50 cm barrels that Kuryaka sells. Yes, he also sells 60 cm barrels, but those are unfortunately unchambered

when he says hes out of darts but he walks away with 29 half darts shooting well over 170 fps. Nice try. lol.
