I've had a few expensive Marshalls and the EQ is usually never touched. It's great to see the versatility on this one, and you should see the price on these amps in Europe! So low compared to the US. Why does Marshall put a greenback in the combo but vintage 30’s in the jubilee cab?
@txrasse5 жыл бұрын
TS 0785 in my experience V30’s have a lot of high end and little bass in low volumes, so the speaker wouldn’t work that well in a small combo amp with bedroom levels. This is why I swapped my SL-5 V30 speaker to a G12 Greenback. Little less icepicky treble and more low end.

@heathwatsonguitar7 жыл бұрын

@davidkieltyka97 жыл бұрын
If anything the tubes are running harder 'cuz they're always working. Proper Class A. In a push-pull config each tube gets to rest half the time (or thereabouts). This is assuming parallel single-ended is actually how they're set up. They could be running push-pull in a faux triode config instead.

@timwhite55622 жыл бұрын
@@svenzia there are plenty of clones that are more affordable, and actually much better built. The Ceriatone is great and half the price. It's a hand wired, point to point vs Marshall's PCB.. The difference will be the power section, most clones are 6V6 or EL84, where the Marshall uses full size EL34s. But most people are running the preamp section through IR cab sims or external power amps anyway, in which case the different power section is irrelevant.
