Kaiser's campaign might be a bit muddled in some places, but it's by far the best mod we have available that redoes the base campaign. I enjoyed 9/10 moments in this DLC, with only the 1/10 times being head scratchers.

With the utmost respect to Kaiser, why tf remove all of the debuffs from the Cursed Prowler?? The blocked dash and health drain are what make him so unique and fun and stressful. If the idea was to make him easier to kill, I think simply allowing the vanilla Crowler to be killed by any weapon (with resistances obviously) would've been perfect. He's still a threat, but you have more freedom to take him down. Also, IT IS FANTASTIC TO SEE THE CYBER CACO IN THIS MOD!!!!

I explained this to mayo, but my crowler rework is for two main reasons. 1. Allowing him to run away after cursing you breaks many arenas because he can teleport outside of them and never come back 2. Due to the health drain, invincibility, and dash removal, i can use them in much less scenarios. Crowlers in my mod apply a new kind of debuff for 10 seconds on cursing you, which mayo failed to mention. While cursed, you take 0.25 more damage from all sources.

I love that the marauder can’t be fucked by the hammer! I feel that Id did not respect him by disregarding his super weapon resistance, so I stayed away from using the hammer on him. PS: TAG 2 is more fun if you don’t use the hammer on the marauders (especially in their screecher room)

Marauder's resistance to super weapons are all based on the shield. Once that goes down, BFG, unmaykr, crucible, hammer fucks him up equally. Ofc theres an argument to be made on how cheap it is to use a hammer because of how easy it is to get a charge

18:28 another idea to have the marauder boss feel as scary and oppressive like it was back in our first playthroughs could be have the same much tougher gold one like in the video, but make it so that when he blocks with his shield and then summons, he not only summons a tougher wolf - that demands more attention than a single ssg or pb and takes longer to microwave - but also a normal marauder maybe even more than one marauder since the number of times the player will shoot at him at the wrong moment is gonna b pretty low alternatively, maybe one normal marauder every time he blocks and a low chance of spawning one whenever he gets faltered

I wish I knew how to make mods I always had the idea that the Hammer would disable the Marauder shields and buff him shortly instead. It sorta makes sense to me cause in my head I go like the Marauders uses energy to summon his shield and when it's disabled he absorbs the energy from the hammer which buffs him while while his shield is on CD due to a hammer overload. It's probably a double edges sword idea but at least it's not a mind numbing way to fight the Marauder

Modders have been reverse engineering and brute forcing the game since we figured out how to unpack the games resource files. It's completely back ended. There are no secret tools unfortunately. There is quite a bit of a learning curve, and I'm still improving all the time.

There should be a mod that adds a bunch of new special variant demons throughout the game that uses the appearance of some of the demon skins from PvP. Like the different UAC revenants could all have different debuffs or special attacks for example, the green skin does acid damage, the original one has way stronger rockets and stays in the air hovering around, the third one has rockets that leaves purple slime puddles to avoid etc. maybe some of the bronze or silver tier skins change their attacks a bit or make them stronger slightly while the gold legendary tier skins really change and buff them up. I've always thought the non-goofy demon skins could be used as additional demon types like that

For a few more examples I've thought up, maybe the frosty blue themed demon skins could all be like ice variants that 'freeze' the slayer and slows him down while being immune to ice bomb but weak to flame belch. The green slime skins could do poisoning damage to you or leave AOE poision puddles to avoid. There's a zombie mancubus skin from the slayers club, maybe zombie mancs could have a chance to resurrect themselves or other demons after death. Concrete manc skin could have same buff as stone imps needing full auto mod to stop them. The archvile has a bunch of really neat recolors, those all could add cool elemental effects or change their behavior. Maybe there could be like mini boss demons on the PvP maps that have certain weaknesses and strengths, like the samurai pain elemental could reflect all your projectiles back at you and has to be fought with just the crucible needing to avoid his attacks and collect scattered crucible charges to have like a themed sword fight with multiple hits and stages. Could even take the idea further with some of the slayers skins or weapon skins that can be swapped out like weapon mods, like different skins could add effects to different guns or your equipment. Some of the toxic green looking skins could give like poison DOT bullets to the minigun or chaingun, maybe some of the fiery red skins could add fire damage to bullets/ double flame belch charge/ maybe give the ground a fire aoe effect after hammer slam, different skins could add different grenade effects, add extra/changed effects to movement like an additional dash or new movement possibilities, change how meat hook works etc. I feel like just using skins to change up things could add a huge amount of variety to the game like that. Its fun to think about at least.
