I love the clever use of Battlemode skins to make different variants of demons, like the Red Rage Manc. And seeing hotdog Manc in a campaign is fun. Overall it’d be cool if ID endorsed and made mods like these downloadable on console. They have that for the classic doom ports!

Based on some experience I had with Overload (where community mappers were invited to make a couple of official DLC campaigns, but those ended up only being available on PC) the question of getting that kind of content onto consoles on more modern sorts of game engines, or when the game wasn't initially made with it in mind, is a reeeeeaaaaally complicated one. Long story short, as I understood it the console manufacturers need to review and approve everything that gets released on their console as a download (which is everything, period, these days) and there just isn't much of a process for that approval with this kind of content even when the developers do "officialize" it. I have to imagine Doom 1, 2, and Quake were a special case due to either being old games with simpler architecture, or due to having the add-ons feature implemented in those releases from the get-go with at least one addon already available at launch. So, I certainly wouldn't call this impossible, but from what I understand it would be astronomically difficult to cut through the red tape. Funnily enough, according to the spellchecker on this computer "officialize" is an actual recognized word. I did not know this :D

The DHB secret with the meathook points in the video DOES exist, they activate from a switch you shoot in the room above the lava hall (the one with the crushers and cylindrical climbing wall). Once you get there, just look around and you'll find it.

I’m confident that Kaizer is trolling the marauders in act 1, because starting at act 2, marauders will finally get their revenge. On act 3 the player will want to get his/her revenge against marauders, but marauders will get pretty hectic

I don't know how it applies to this mod but it's important to note that it's very difficult to blood punch kill heavier demons on higher difficulties because blood punch does less damage than their glory kill threshold, so that's interesting as to how it would effect getting hammer charges in this mod

I think a campaign redone to let you play through as the different playable demons would be super fun. Certain maps and arenas let's you switch between 2 or 3 alternating demons at a time or something. I really enjoyed the revenant section and the PvP demons are really fun to use imo

I just got a PC, finally, after playing on Xbox forever - (I still love my Xbox but the PC is thermonuclear) - can anyone recommend any mods that add onto the campaign? Like adding extra enemies or increasing the difficulty? I’m not familiar with mods for doom eternal or anything really, like I said I just got the PC my brother built it for me.

Go to the doom eternal modding discord. Proteh's new game plus balanced randomizer is amazing. Also, there are three horde mode mods, and many master level mods. These are the best types of mod.

@@nerdoutreachprogram5358 you don't really need neonohub. It just takes out the hub sections from the campaign. It's been ages since I played base content on UN, but when I did I didn't use that mod because it kind of chooses some stuff for you. I like my own choices For casual playthroughs I always do balanced randomizer now. Best way to play doom now, and very fun on UN.

One thing that really ruined my experience with this was that I accidentally went into the portals next to the escalation encounters in Cultist Base and Doom Hunter base, and you can't go back to those from fast travel. I had to replay those entire levels again to get those escalation encounters. Kind of soured my opinion of the mod
