🗾🗾🗾🗾I want to blame Toyota (The president Toyota Motor Corporation Akio Toyoda (豊田 章男 ) for massive environmental pollution in Russia and a chemical genocide organized by Toyota. Passing off a technical defect as a harmless defect that led to massive evaporation of gasoline and its leakage. Toyota sold 219 811 thousand cars in Russia with a defect in the fuel system, the scale of the leakage of gasoline and gasoline vapors into the atmosphere could be large-scale. I own a 2022 Outback Touring XT. It replaced a 2015 Outback 2.5i Limited. My 2022 s so much improved there is no comparison. The new version is quiet and rides so much better, and the lighting is way superior.

It would be perfect. The fact you can't turn off the stop/start feature permanently is really frustrating. No physical controls is another issue. When I get in, it's so much nicer to just turn on the heated and cooled seats through actual buttons than having to wait for the screen to boot up for 15 seconds. The buttons on the screen are also a bit small especially while driving, so it becomes even harder and then you have to search through a couple menu screens just to operate something that could be so easily done up with just an actual button like in many other cars. Really wish Subaru would go back to their physical buttons. Everything else is perfect

A good review Jeff. I am an Outback owner and have been working on my review... for 8 months now. Making conclusions on different aspects of this crossover takes me a lot of driving, comparisons with other cars of this category, looking up the manual, taking endless pictures and videos, additional visits to my technician, putting together my experience with other cars and my engineering background. That said, your review is a good introduction to this car for those who probably missed a lot amidst this turbulent time. I love it how you caricature one of the most prolific and useless/nauseating car review channels at 4:45. Bravo! Another thank you for not repeating BS about "family station wagon" - something that stupid (no matter how much money they make on KZbin) reviewers often do. This is a crossover that is more of a crossover than many other crossovers. You have skipped a lot of important things (both good and bad) that is understandable as you are not familiar with this car. Nevertheless I enjoyed your work. Be safe.

Thank you very much for saying that. My channel will be about learning a lot of vehicles for the first time which is I think helpful because a lot of consumers are researching vehicles for the first time as well. We will be in the same boat. I know I did miss some things and I’ve learned a lot since then. It’s a great vehicle though

Comment as a Subaru delivery specialist, 1. Most of our Subarus have that, not new. 2. It’s radar and it’s about half a food ball field and limited and touring will hit the brakes.3. That’s also on without those models as long and the door lights are set to door. 4. Very true about lights but it’s actually 30 seconds. 4.5 and it’s hold the windows in accessory, then what you said. 5 glad you show people that, but not just weather stripping but the metal that’s there. 6. It does have two but you can also store the shade under the cargo Area. 6. It includes most of it, but nitrors on some cars. You also have to go to settings, arrow in top right, driver monitoring system. 7. Remind people not to talk with their hands 8. Safety reasons, Certain models have auto. 8. Correct to clean the window going up during rain. Also true to hold support as long as you clean glue off. 10, that’s a given…. Definitely beneficial for crosstrek hybrid. 11.5 because some people don’t like to use the break, even though it Releases on break or gas as long as seatbelt is on. 12. Don’t use in full accessory mode for more than 20 min. One click without foot in brake does radio, two does all with AC, but foot on break to start engine. Also this guy is pretty smart, follow him 😊😊

About the blind spot detection, it is a light on the side mirror facing the driver. The Subaru logo on the mirror is exterior lighting or a “puddle light”

Great review, Jeff. The blind spot monitor on this car is orange; it is located on the inside part of the mirror facing you in the front seat. The white light you referred to is the puddle lighting that lights up the roadway below the outside mirrors so that the driver will see better at night when they are stepping outside the car. This is an okay review of the Outback. But it seems that Jeff is a bit late to other internet car reviewers' recognition of the importance of this impressive, capable and fun car. There really is nothing else like it. All of he XT trimmed models raise the excitement of the engineering of the Outback to a level which Jeff is completely skipping around- or unaware of.The fact that the Outback is actually a wagon which drives completely differently from any other wagon ever is missed entirely. The base model is the ideal family budget car. The Onyx XT can make your heart race. And the Touring models are true luxury vehicles. The Wilderness model, while not for everyone, is an extraordinarily uniqe vehicle targeted to hard core off roading. Being late to the Outback party puts Jeff at a disadvantage in reviewing the Outback. He has only scratched the surface here. There is so much more to this broad model line of Subaru which Jeff appears to be unaware of. We can look forward to a better review from Jeff about the Outback once he has gone more into depth in understanding this vehicle.

There’s nothing spectacular about the Outback. To the majority of car buyers it’s just a lame station wagon that wouldn’t make anyones short list of vehicles. Subaru makes some interesting vehicles, but none are extraordinary in any way except that they’re quirky, and slightly more mainstream than of yesteryear. Relying heavily on owner loyalty and a phenomenal marketing firm, Subaru’s are known for eccentric owners and decent awd prowess. While the awd ability is neutered due to a finicky cvt, the awd programming algorithms are stellar for all of the limitations of the cvt. They’ve also struggled and succeeded as of late to overcome some reliability challenges over the years. Any seasoned mechanic knows that the quirkiness of Subaru isn’t in its products, but instead in its history or poorly designed engines. Subaru excelled in making sub-adequate engines for a long time and only now, through higher profits, can now focus on developing more reliable products. For the past half dozen or so years, reliability has increased. The cvt continues to be one of the biggest headaches for Subaru and while other manufacturers have figured out the cvt, Subaru continues to market its cvt as containing “lifetime fluid.” Anyone with any familiarity with oil/fluids knows this is comical at best. With cvt valve body’s failing and requiring a completely new cvt around 80-100k miles. Informed owners know to change their fluids every 30-40k miles, whereas the lay person believes the foolishness of “lifetime fluid” and pays the price dearly all whilst ensuring their local transmission technician has a well funded retirement. Despite Subaru’s poor cvt’s, they make an excellent manual transmission. Perhaps one of the finest in modern history on a vehicle of its class. A manual transmission partnered with the phenomenal 3.6 H6 engine will outlast the sheetmetal that surrounds it. Jeff, you’ve done an excellent review. And alas, while this other tool discounts your knowledge on Subaru, I am happy to provide you with this rebuttal. Good day sir. Look forward to your future reviews.

unfortunately in the last 10 years this car got fatter and fatter and from being a higher station wagon became a small SUV, from having elegant and decent lines, started being one of the several over designed car our cities are full nowadays ...Moreover it lost the manual transmission, the panoramic open roof and some original solutions like the frameless windows...The only thing they didn't change was the only one had to be changed...the 2.5 natural aspirated boxer engine. Slow, noisy and not so economic.
