Hi Adi, Good review on the Hornby GNR J52, and it is a nice model for its age and runs well. I have a similar model bought secondhand from a boot fair 28 years ago, and it is a good runner but noisy and gave it a thorough service and runs like new. Thanks for sharing and all the best. Rob

My Dad had the exact same model as you. I can't remember the engine's number, but I'm sure it wasn't the same. Sadly, the model never came into my own collection. Wherever the engine is now, I'm sure she's in good hands. Your model is beautiful to look at, I'm not gonna lie. She could haul a Christmas Goods Train at some point, which I'd love to see. She's not my favourite steamy, but I love her very much.

Good video enjoyed watching. Quite a handsome model for its age. Good for the Railroad range today which is similar to this. The Rapido version looks interesting. The Hornby version would be a good choice for someone who don't mind not having all the latest features. Thanks for showing. Regards Paul.

Hi Paul I hope you are well Yes you are damn right should be in the rr with n2 and it could be an alternative to the rapido one at a slightly cheaper price

I had always fancied getting one of those but never got around to it, If looked after it should go on for ever being based on the same chassis as the Jinty and E2 of the time using the trusty X04 motor. I may look into getting one of the Rapido versions as it's quite an attractive tank loco especially in the GNR livery.
