On a related note, what is up with GM struggling with making decent head gaskets? My pontiac grand prix and Chevy Impala all had head gasket leak problems. Glad I finally switched to Toyota and will definitely make the upgrade to Lexus if I get rich.

@@Janfey I just told u, that Mercedes is a terrible choice! Literally had many of them & BMW’s… if u think it’s cool to spend 50k or more on a car, just for it not to run on mondays is CRAZY to me! U talking looks & have no clue of the day to day workings! Learn from others mishaps & try to save urself from them. Instead of coming on here taking about a Benz! They cheap A$$ plastic that is not reliable! Period! Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Nissan, Infinity. That’s it!

@@Wild1KY I’m a mechanic and i have owned 4 Mercedes-Benz and they ain’t that bad. Sure i saved some money by fixing them myself. One of them liked to break all the time, but other 3 we’re pretty reliable. I now have 2019 Lexus ES300h. Sure Lexus is more reliable hands down, but if you got the money for the repairs Mercedes wins.

I just bought a 2015 Lexus ES350 beautiful dark blue ,what a nice ride I also own a 1997 ES300 with 138,000 miles in excellent condition they are very reliable cars

I just bought one, the car still drives like it's brand new. Mine is also a 2015. I also still have my 2003 ES300 and it has 227,000 miles. Still running today and still has decent power and a great ride for a car that's 20 years old. Honestly the ride in my opinion is actually a little bit better than my newer one. In my 03' they had adjustable suspension which makes a big difference on the ride. The car is literally floats over all bumps and potholes and hardly feel a thing.

I had an ES 350 before trading it in for a LS 460 (both 2016 model years) and the LS is what I see as a true competitor for the Town Car. The LS has a similar engine to the Town Car (4.6L V8) and is RWD. Unfortunately, the downside of an LS vs an ES is that a larger engine means it drinks more gas per mile.

Beautiful car. Totally understand what you mean about the differences between the Camry and the Lexus ES, especially the solidness of the doors. I’ve owned three Camry models and purchased my first ES this past year and there is a notable difference. Even though my ES was built in the US in the Kentucky plant, it is solid! Even though the Camry is built in the same plant, I believe the ES is built on a completely separate line. The Camry is not a bad car by any means, but Toyota takes everything that makes the Camry great and just amplifies it in the Lexus ES.

I disagree with the town car comparison.The town car is way smoother And real wheel drive I would say it compares to a year 2000 Lincoln continental or cadillac seville Also , it's not so souless , you'd be surprised how nimble It can be when you need it to be and how stable it can be.At high speeds And if You ever get into an oh shit situation. Trust me the ES will not let u down With It's handling prowess which seems understated under normal driving conditions

We only every drove Toyotas but now exclusive Lexus models! Best dang cars ever. Have several in the garage now, one being a 13 GS with 250k miles. No problems. If you have an iPhone you can allow notifications for text messages and use Siri from the steering wheel. Also get the dealer to use tech stream to allow you to open windows and sunroof from key, and disable the rear sunshade going down in reverse.

I have a 2013 ES350 that I bought in 2017 for 17k and had 75,000 miles. It now has 210,000 miles and I have only changed the oil regularly. I had to replace a wheel hub assembly for about $500 but that’s about it. The car honestly drives and looks pretty much the same as it did when I got it. I’m hoping to drive it over 325,000 miles. It’s a great car all around.

The 2015 was definitely the best ES we had! The 2017 wasn’t as nice, but still same design. I really disliked the 2020. The 2020 felt much cheaper, and it did not have the traditional Lexus luxury, or quality! The 2024 Camry has the 2015 ES quality, of course being the top of the line Camry.

Must be a 2014 or 13 because it has the older graphics in the infotainment and halogen fog lights. It also doesn’t have the dynamic gridlines in the backup camera. 2015 was the only year of this prefacelift that had LED fog lights standard and the dynamic lines for the camera. I only know this because I have a 15 🙂

Premium actually has nothing to do with how you drive your car. It's usually what the engine requires before you can start getting engine knocks for not using the right octane

I think the newer es cars are made in Japan on higher trims, and i will say the us assembly is still better than numerous other car manufacturers even thought it’s not Japan. I think the Canadian one is pretty close to Japanese build quality

27k miles on my 2015 and kind of want to sell it. The infotainment is inefficient, very laggy and navigation is useless and can't be updated past 2018 for $250. The A.I. voice for commands is horribly robotic, no A/C button, no remote start, and the driver seat is hard. I'm a light guy and the seat back is not soft or supple. I expected the cabin to be quieter, but wind noise is prevalent.
