The trailer brake location IMO was well thought of for those who tow often. In the event of an emergency and the trailer brakes need to be engaged separately because of a "fish tail", accessibility is paramount. For those who don't tow, I could understand the gripe.

"well thought of" with the exception of putting it where ANYBODY and ANYTHING can access it including but not limited to: passengers, family dogs, kids, spilled coffee, dirt, fast food, pop, and a million other things that will use that spot too....if it's just you in the truck.... perfect!!

Volume button was actually very well thought out. It’s just that people wanted a column shifter on an HD instead of a center console. For me give me the console shifter I’m good with that.

Love the truck. But if I'm nitpicking I dont like the center console arrangement. The center console on the SLT works better. And a lack of a 12v outlet as I still have a use for those.

Have you noticed dead pedal in the 24 Duramax? I just did a test drive on a 24 LTZ. From a dead stop if you hit the throttle quick at least 1/4 or 1/3 down, it had dead pedal for almost 3 seconds. I mean i hardly responded then hit real hard. Also driving around the diesel just didn't seem responsive till it spooled up. I found it rather annoying. Seemed like a lot of turbo lag. What's your experience? Did the truck learn and improve?

I have complained about the volume knob on my 24 SLE also, it has the same dash layout . Response was use the steering wheel.

I’m glad they moved the exhaust brake switch towards the driver. Always kind of irked me that it was so far over towards passenger on the earlier models

You literally have the controls for the volume on the steering wheel which means you don’t have to reach over the gear shifter you’re welcome

I got my ‘24 SRW Ultimate 3500 last week and I prefer the position of the charger over my ‘20 so I don’t look at it while driving 😁

My guess for the inconvenient location of the volume knob/home button is because this particular interior layout design may not have been originally designed for the column shifter. The reason why I say this is because this interior layout design was first introduced in the top end trims of the Sierra 1500's, labeled as the "premium interior" which is only available with the electronic console shifter. This being a 2500/3500 series truck, GM probably decided last minute to shove the column shifter into this interior instead. The "stream line interior" (as GM calls it) found in the Silverado and lower trims of the Sierra seem to be more thoughtful of the column shifter. The stream line interior that is found in the 2500/3500 series cabin even has a slightly redesigned center console area to allow for a more usable space, by having a larger center console storage tray and the repositioned side-by-side cup holders instead.

You can adjust the volume and tuning on controls behind the steering wheel… also if you use CarPlay you won’t need to see your phone lol

Can you please to a video on changing the thermostat on 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 duramax and what were the torque spec for the fuel rail pressure sensor and the four bolts that goes on the throttle body please 🙏

The area your talking about in front of the trailer brake buttons that,s empty is where the shifter is at on the smaller duramax 1500 at4

They want you to use the paddles behind the steering wheel to control your volume and your radio station not the one on the touchscreen

Does your 24 make a loud wooshing noise similar to a car without an airfilter? Mine is load and just doesn't sound right.

two things I hate..... The wheels are hideous and the mirrors in this 20+ body are awful.... put the mirrors back into the corner of the windows instead of through the doors
