I have two different jackeries that I recharge with their solar panels. As a solo camper they work very well! Durable, easy to use, and they pack a hell of a lot of power!

I wanted a 2000 Explorer but I'm going to wait until I can get a new generation battery Po4 and I am planning to get the 2000 one. Can't wait. Meanwhile I got the 880 Pro to start my journey in solar energy.

Sal - great vid. The Jackery line has really taken off since covid began - I imagine their sales have literally exploded. I have debated a purchase for a while now, but you sealed the deal for us. Thanks.

Don't get me wrong, we debated purchasing a power station for over a year, and boy do we regret it. They're not cheap, but you can't put a price on having portable power available for when you need it. The Jackery 880 has a 1000W inverter, which is more than enough to power anything we need to plug into it. This is a great way to avoid the cost of a complete lithium battery install and you can take it with you...it’s not hard-wired into the RV. Thanks for watching. 👍🏼

Do you have solar panels on your RV? We have on our Arctic Fox 990 truck camper. I bought the Jackery 880 to charge cell phones and e bike battery, off grid camping WA state.

I really enjoyed your review, straight to the point! I'm looking at this machine, my local Canadian Tire store stocks the whole line up, and currently with my work it looks like I may have to sleep in my truck for 4-5 days a week, my question is would this machine power my laptop, plus a heated blanket and a 12v heater, all at the same time? the laptop is 180W, the blanket plugs into a cigarette port and hardly uses any power from what I could tell using it already, and the heater I haven't really tested but its a 12v cig port plug in as well and its tiny fits in my cup holder. So would it power all 3 at once, and for how many hours? I'd probably need the laptop for 2 hours max each night (4-5 days) and the heater and blanket probably for 8-10 hours each night.

Thanks for sharing. Very informative and helpful. I've thought about getting something like this for home use to deal with power outages, but I know nothing about the technology. Will the Jackery 880 run a freezer and/or fridge for several hours? Also, do you charge it with solar panels?
@TheTinCanTravelers2 жыл бұрын
This particular model has a rating of 1000w and a surge of 2000w. Refrigerator and freezer compressors can draw more than 1000 watts on start-up and 400 watts when running. Take a look at the labels in or on your frig/freezer to see how many watts it takes to run. With this info you can then purchase the right size unit for your application. Thanks for watching. 👍🏼

Is this 880 model different from the Explorer 1000? Seems to have the same specs but the 880 is $200 cheaper from a box store than the 1000 is on Amazon.

This is what I got directly from Jackery Customer Support: Jackery E1000: Battery:21.6V 46.4AH;1002Wh Jackery E880: Battery:21.6V 40.8AH;880Wh Home Depot only sold the 880 but Lowes carried their full line. If you don't need the extra 120Wh then it's a bargain...it has the same surge watts as the 1000. 👍🏼

One thing that comes to mind is that the Explorer 880 has no option for an extra battery. It would be great if it had that option.

It sure would. I think I've heard of another company with that as an option. 🧐

ALL Jackerys can be charged with solar. Actually I think ALL power stations can be charged with solar, that is why they used to call them "Solar Generators"/

I prefer my Bluetti systems they have a 10 year life expectancy compared to all the other power generators
@TheTinCanTravelers2 жыл бұрын
That's a lot of life. The Jackery warranty is on par with other power stations, including the Bluetti, of 24 months. The number of times a battery is charged, cycles, will reduce the battery's optimal performance. With that in mind, manufacturers can only guarantee 100% performance up to a fixed number of cycles or years. We're happy you found a power station that you like. Thanks for watching. 👍🏼

The "Built-in Handle" is the worst part of this unit. Hey, I LOVE Jackerys, but that dumb handle is nothing but in the way. Check out every other manufacturers, including the NEW Jackery, and you will see what I mean. Best shapes for a power station is a rectangle.
@TheTinCanTravelers2 жыл бұрын
We like the handle, it's functional and makes it easy to carry. The newer models still have the handle. 🧐
@jamescabaniss58572 жыл бұрын
@@TheTinCanTravelers Actually Jackery is moving away from the fixed handle style due to research groups and demand, check out the new Jackery Explorer 2000 Pro, it now has a folding handle. The leader in power stations, Bluetti now only has built-in handles giving their units a nice rectangular shapes because of focus groups and reviews. EcoFlow too. A square or rectangular shape is much easier to store.
@TheTinCanTravelers2 жыл бұрын
A foldable handle does make the power station more compact and easier to store. It would be nice if they include this in their more affordable models.
