man was thinking of getting that, but it moves a ton and he is not hitting with any real power. the search continues

This will do for beginner level but as you will get the bag to move way more as the power of your techniques develop as well as you will move around way more too, this rig is far from sufficient.

Its a home gym setup dude, not meant for a full scale boxing gym. As far as the bag moving they'll put a ring on the bottom of it to tie down if you ask.

Kyle Engel Who are talking about a full scale gym? A static bag is good for absolute beginners who want to learn the very basics but as soon as you are ready for sparring you need a non-static bag.

JUST got mine set up, and was confused about the enclosed instructions indicating I'd need 13-gallon ziplocs. Thanks for the clarification. :)

Rodney Saenz Hi Rodney, I just used 1-gallon ziplocks. I filled each ziplock with sand, zipped them closed, and put them into the bags that came with the stand. I guess you could use larger ziplocks -- you wouldn't have to use as many then -- but the 1-gallon ziplocks worked for me. Hope you enjoy your stand!

Stand is set up and ready to go. Just need to pick up a couple of bags of sand at the hardware store. Do you remember about how many ziplocks you needed, total? Thanks for the pro tips!

Rodney Saenz For the size Outslayer bags I was sent, I used about 4 1-gallon ziplock bags filled with sand per 1 Outslayer bag.

Hi, the stand looks like it moves alot in the video. Do you think this could be compensated by adding more sandbags or weight to the stand? or is this just how it is?
@KendallGiles9 жыл бұрын
Jon Burns Hi Jon. I've got the stand extended as high as it will go -- yes, with a full size heavy bag on it, when the bag gets to swinging, it does sway a bit. Adding more bags might help some, but I think it still may sway a little if you really get the bag going. In addition to more sand bags, I think it may sway less with a lighter bag, or a shorter bag, so you could lower the height of the bag hook. Even with the swaying stand though, I've been happy with it--this works with my space limitations and workout needs just fine.

Hi Kendall, great video! I'm very strongly considering getting this stand as I've had problems with the bag hanging too low on other stands when using a standard size punching bag, however this Outslayer unit seems to be much taller. Could you tell me how high off the floor the hook is, and does the hook swivel or would I need to attach a swivel? Thanks!
@KendallGiles9 жыл бұрын
norcal41576 Sorry for the delay -- I've been out of town. The ring on my stand is about 7' 6" from the floor. And the ring/hook does not swivel. That said, the bag I demo in the video came with an aluminum carabiner -- ie not a swivel -- and while not ideal you can make it work.

hey man! I am looking to buy a heavy bag to train on and am considering buying from outslayer. would you reccomend buying an outslayer bag? what do you think the best brand for heavy bags is?
@KendallGiles9 жыл бұрын
AKTBkilla I've used different bags in the gym, but I've only owned two kinds (not counting a really small boxing bag by Everlast). One is a 6' Ring to Cage stuff-yourself bag. This was fine for the money, though a little lumpy because you have to stuff the bag yourself with rags/filling. I switched over to using my Outslayer bag exclusively when I got it -- I really love it. The corner stand I have is a little wobbly, but it has never caused me a problem. The bag itself has held up great. Some might like other brand bags, but I'm happy with my Outslayer.

+Kendall Giles I've read really good reviews on these bags but it looks to me like they are kind of lumpy. have you had any issues with the inside material shifting after hard hits?
@KendallGiles9 жыл бұрын
AKTBkilla I've not had any lumpy issues with my Outslayer bag.
