Review on the 2021 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S

What I like and dislike. The different features of the bike and how the work. The sound the engine and the stock exhaust. Display of the TFT screen and different settings.

I used tor ride 890 Duke R and quickshifter was ok. After that ı bought 1290 Adv S (2022) and brakes are very good. Quickshifter is the best in my opinion. GS is a great bike , but everybody knows that the quickshifter is sucks at BMW’s. I agree with you about the exhaust sound; Akrapovic is needed.

I have never heard anyone say the QS and Brakes are poor! I have owned 6 KTM’s, and this 2021 model is the best QS I’ve used, and in fact, as smooth as BMW’s QS on and XR, which is very slick. For a big twin, this is the best QS out there. And as for the brakes, as good as Brembo gets. This is my real life opinion, not just an opinion summed up in 8 mins! Go and ride one for yourself, and then see how good KTM QS and Brakes are!

I can see that you are a KTM fan who owned several ktm’s. I’ve been riding the superduke 1290 and the GT and the 790 and now owning a 890 advR. I still believe the BMW’s I owned before had smoother QS. It only took me a couple of minutes to determine that, although I road the super adventure the whole day. The bite of the front brake on the BMW s1000r or XR is better without a doubt. I’m not saying the QS or the brakes are bad on the super adventure, but when we review bikes we do that having the competition in mind.

Hmm the first review i see where someone says that the quickshifter and the brakes are not that nice. 🤔 Most people tell the opposite....
