@FR-ty5vn I think a couch is pretty close. @garretsmith8617 mentions the feeling you get, but I've ridden a Rocket3, and, imo, the feeling is as disappointing as the actual speed. It's just not a visceral bike. I have a naked honda Blackbird that will sprint past a Rocket3, even though they have similar HP and shit aero. The Honda Blackbird is known for feeling a little boring because the power is so smooth, but compared to a Rocket3, it feels like an absolute animal. Don't get me wrong. I think the Rocket is a stunning bike, and I LOVE the sound of a triple. It's just... I would need a loud exhaust on it because the exhaust is the only thing that would make me feel anything (same can be said about my Victory Kingpin to be fair).

@FR-ty5vn nor would I suggest you do. I bought both bikes for around 7k, so unless you bought some clapped out or wrecked Rockets3s, that would be a pretty silly financial decision. I would also suggest you never twist the throttle on any bike that participated in the Japanese speed wars because that feeling you get while riding your Rocket3 will never be the same afterwards. As for the Victory, there would be no reason to buy that over a Rocket3 unless you really want that potato potato exhaust note, or really like the look (that, and it costs a fraction of what a Rocket costs). To suggest either of my bikes are crap bikes, though, shows you are very ignorant, have an extremely fragile ego, or both.

From factory the speedometer reads WAY optimistic from the factory. The first dude that hit 146 probably only really hit 135 actual. I put a slightly taller rear tire on mine. That corrected the Speedo quite a bit from stock. Stock rear tire at 86 mph on the Speedo actual gps speed was only 80 mph. It only got worse the faster I went. Now with the tire I have the Speedo only reads 2 mph faster than actual speed all the way to the 152 mph I’ve gotten out of it.

You're right, and if we were to run this event again that would be a consideration. The downside is you're then encouraging proper launches which can be somewhat tricky if you've never done one before, and the event was less about competition and more about exploring the performance. Nevertheless, a GPS tracker on a seasoned journalist, Triumph test rider or racer would have been interesting.

I’ve only seen one on the roads since launch . I don’t think it’s very popular

Nice bike, good performance, but I'll stick with my Hayabusa even if it goes through tires every season. 😂

There is a company in America that can make the Triumph rocket have 250hp and no Not making the engine larger CC or adding supercharger or turbo. They put racing head pistons injection no de-restricted larger Brembo breaks and disks and I think that is all they did. It is one youtube on a run over 200MPH. I can't remember which Channel it was kept looking lots of talk about other Americans that had their engines raced tuned fitted so must be there.
