Great video, and alright, you've convinced me to get it! I had not, well; When I went to pre-order it, a couple of months ago, I did not, because the album cover actually disturbed me! Also, at the time - but not now - a reaction was "Soily? What's Soily?!" However, you convinced me. I'll, as a long long, long time Beatles fan, get it/the 2 CD version of it, that is. Not really being into vinyl these days, I'll have to miss out on the extra tracks.

Does the one wing represent Sir Paul being the one surviving member of the group Wings, I wonder. Another thing is the brown tint around the edges of the cover, maybe representing that the recording is 50 years old. Or maybe it's just meh and I'm looking into it too much?!

Hey Matt, Fantastic review video!! I am slowly listening to the album on streaming. Next week I’ll buy it I wish the video and songs were all together in a mini archive set. The songs are enjoyable. I wish the backyard sessions were included on the cd set and on the records rather then a 7 in ep. Also wish the sessions were complete instead of just being the best quality of each song. Great review Matt, thanks. My CDs arrived yesterday and I listened with headphones last night with an adult beverage. I must say this is a real treat for me and I really enjoyed the complete package. I suspect this is because I am not heavy into bootlegs or box sets, so much of this is a first (or at least better) listen to my eyes. I think the electrified “Bluebird” was tops for me, but that may change. Cheers and have great weekend.😊🎸☮️

A great review Matt, here's hoping your albums arrive soon. Mine arrived on Friday and I listened to it a lot and I have to say that I love it, all of it. Stand out track for me is Jet, love that song anyway, one of my favourite Wings songs, but here it sounds so down and dirty raw, like it's being played in a packed club or bar on a late Friday evening. The whole album sounds so good, so looking forward to playing it through my surround sound in my lounge later. Not played the vinyl yet, just the CD. But my only gripe is not the music, but the packaging. I really hate this trend of cramming a double album into a single sleeve as opposed to a gatefold. Why oh why are they doing this? To my mind you may as well just put the two albums in a slim box, would make more sense to me, should've done that with Band On The Run and Underdubbed earlier this year. But it is what it is, and after all what matters is the music and as always Macca delivers the goods. This is an album I will be going back to again and again... God bless you Matt for this vid. Viewers beware: you don’t get the 45rpm single with all copies of the vinyl LP (as it was only included as an optional extra as a limited edition and available only from the PM store as an exclusive. It’s a very enjoyable release!

I streamed most of it. Overall I'm pretty impressed. You were spot on with some of the shortcomings. I didn't mind the electric piano on Maybe. The other versions are still around if I need to hear the more familiar acoustic piano. Some of these tracks are a bit "unnecessary", but overall an enjoyable listen. Cheers Matt.

Matt! - I'm with you - the reed-y organ sound on Let It Be was out of place. I think Paul sounded awkward and unconfortable doing the medley of 3 Beatles tunes. But most of it was great. Bluebird stopped me in my tracks as being exquisite. Hope you enjoyed Father's Day buddy!

How would you compare this to that not so great Band On The Run Underdubbed Mixes? Or is that not fair to do so? Spotify a while back did tease the album by only letting customers hear Junior's Farm. I'm willing to stream this one. No interest in doing what you did to obtain album. Budgets need to be allocated and it's Spotify or nothing for me on new releases. Just not one of collecting and then others trying to figure out what to do with stuff after you leave Earth. You can only remember soo much in your will.

@@matthewstreet1961 Perfect subject for your next video. How you ordered something and low and behold CD was in your collection never played. Maybe second thoughts before purchasing . Too easy in life to want something but all it does is collect dust. All of us are guilty. I use to purchase and collect autographs. But on Prime Time Live on ABC San Diego Padre RF Tony Gwynn was on the show. A reporter showed him an autograph she purchased at Jack Murphy Stadium where the Padres played. He looked at it and said: That's not my signature. End of purchasing autographs for me. Now it's a I have to see the individual in person for an autograph. But that has not happened in a LONG time thanks to COVID. Now it's all about Cameo for celebs.
